Epson Stylus L380 CISS Printer: How to solve Multi-page feed error during Duplex Printing?

I am having problems duplex printing with Epson L380 model. After each page is printed, it says "Multi-page feed error", then I have to manually press the copy button to get it to print again. I have to print 200-300 pages at once, so this is really inconvenient.

I don't think there is any issue with the hardware because its printing single pages without any problem, just the duplex printing is causing problems.

Update (07/26/2017)

I want to add to this... I am also having problem with the odd page/even page printing. Every 15 pages or so later, the printer will skip a page, thus completely disturbing the page sequence. The vendor has not been able to give any solution. Wrote to Epson, got no reply yet (it has been two weeks).

This problem is occurring in Foxit PDF reader as well as MS Word, making the printer practically useless to me.

Epson Stylus Photo 1400: after cleaning printheads printer doesn't work and emits a beep

Hi, I dissassembled my printer twice after cleaning the printheads as initially it didn't turn on afterwards. After swopping one of the tabs around I reassembled it and it turned on. It began to clean and after a minute or so the light went off and now it won't turn on and emits a quiet beeping. What have I done wrong? I found the replacing of the tabs very difficult to see in which direction they should be inserted. Could I have put one back the wrong way round?

Epson Stylus: Printer section do not work

Printer and scanner Epson Stylus Photo RX620.

Scanner Unit works fine. Does not work printer. There is an error message in the little screen, when try print :

"Printer error occurred. Please see documentation"

From the software in laptop i can read the message :

"Remove any object from inside the printer".

I can see that, after press button for printing, the print head moves to the most left side, stops for a second and then come back to the right and then comes the error message.

The problem does not have to do with the related software in laptop, because i use the printer without connected it to the laptop. I just connect it (with the laptop) after the problem occurred, to see the troubleshoot documentation.

I disassemble it. It was a nightmare. I try clean. I did my best. I clean print head and everything i could.

But did not solve the problem.

I am not sure i can disassemble it again. Also i am afraid not to cause any damage to it. I am not a professional. I already made a small damage but i fix it.

I bought my printer before many years. It is a grate machine, special for photos. I took care of it and it is in excellent condition. It is like new. I do not want to give for the trash.

Any help appreciate.

Thanks

before i tried to fix it i had given it to the service. They told me that maybe there is a problem with electronics, and they cannot fix it and because there is not spare parts for this old printer there is nothing ,for anybody, to do . Also said that may be the PF motor, or a sensor.

I believe that maybe one of the sensors get dirty of ink, but i do not know where are located.

I already read a question , here, for the same problem with an Epson Printer NX510, but no answer solve my problem.

Epson Stylus Photo R2400: Align printhead done, but still prints misaligned. (Epson T50)

My printer is actually an Epson T50, but I couldn’t find the correct one in the list.

My problem is when printing text, I get a double print (vertical alignment) in particular at the top 30mm of the sheet. Probably about1mm out of alignment. Also minor double images towards the middle and bottom of sheet. I’ve done the Epson alignment procedure numerous times, modifying the numbers to get it slightly better each time. Then I can usually get it pretty close. If i print a page of text after that, it’s still ok. Bu the next time I come back to print (a day or so later) it’s back to being misaligned again. Is this a printhead issue that can possibly be fixed? I’ve never removed it and cleaned it, only done the printer cleans. Would the maintenance tank have something to do with the issue? I run a CISS ink system which I don’t think has anything to do with it, as the printhead runs smoothly when connected to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Epson Stylus: Epson R280 no longer accepts ink-cartridges

After working with refillable or one-use cartridges w/o any problem, a few days ago the R280 strangely stopped recognizing the very same or any other cartridges.

Original post with pics still “awaiting approval” here

www.printerforums.net/threads/epson-r280-no-longer-accepts-ink-cartridges.71461/

Any help / advice greatly appreciated, to try fixing it before throwing away an otherwise good printer.

In fact turned it off the evening before with all refillable cartridges inserted and working and the next morning when turned it on, all cartridges were marked as "unknown". Tried all the tricks recommended by ink sellers or in the forums - turning it off for hours, no-cartridge cycles, all to no avail.
With refillable or after-market one-use cartridges, forced to full w/ the resetter or not, makes no difference, same behavior.

I am not sure whether Epson ran a stealth firmware update on the printer (how would that be possible?) but printer version still shows the same 6.51 and I see no new/updated files under C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3 or C:\ProgramData\EPSON (except for the temp ones created every time).

When I am inserting the cartridges one at a time, each cartridge is recognized as "genuine Epson" but ink level is not shown.
After each cartridge inserted using the "how to" or manual-via-ink-button ink change I'm prompted to "insert missing cartridges", the ones already inserted being visible as "Genuine Epson" in the Information window of the status monitor. But when the last "missing" cartridge is inserted all cartridges show as "unknown".

If I remove any of the cartridges and re-run the replacement, again all inserted cartridges are marked as OK

If I trigger the printer button change and simply open and close the cartridge compartment cover getting apparently an all-empty indication (???)

If I remove all the cartridges, run a replacement cycle without a cartridge, turn off the printer for 5min
Then I run another cartridgeless replacement cycle, then put back one cartridge at a time starting with yellow
Then I see these errors / messages never seen before suggesting that a stealth firmware update somehow has been pushed to the printer (arrgghh!!!)

Then if I continue one cartridge at a time, all cartridges are recognized as "genuine Epson" until I insert the last one, when we arrive in the same situation

Interestingly, with a completely new (non-epson) set, if I remove a cartridge at a time then go through the change cycle (getting the missing cartridge X) then putting it back and doing partially the change cycle (abort before the "next") I am getting these popups
With all cartridges inserted including the last inserted one, it is showing that the cartridges are full except last inserted one (which is not true - as one can see Cyan was showing empty in pic #1 then full in pic #2. Eventually, closing and reopening the window shows all cartridges X-ed (pic #3).
But it means that for a very short time the cartridges were recognized.

Tried time and time again the magic around insertion, power-off/on, supposed cache clear and nothing works.
And not being sure what's going on I would not invest in "genuine" cartridges to figure it out.
Any idea for a working method greatly appreciated - shooting in the dark obviously is a waste of time.
