Epson Printer: EPSON ET-2760, suddenly no power after printhead deep clean.

I was having issues with my EPSON ET-2760 tank printer not printing most of the colors but primarily cyan, no problem clean the printhead put it back in still not doing it for the cyan. take the head back out do a deep cleaning soaked it overnight and then let it dry for three days. Put it back in and turn the printer back on, started a printhead clean and a minute later the entire thing was dead and wouldn't turn back on. Power supply is good so does this mean the main board died? Took the print head out still can't get it to turn on. It was briefly working doing a nozzle clean and I turned away and came back and it was like it got unplugged.

My head cleaning process is to do a nozzle check followed by a nozzle clean followed by a check. If that doesn't do it, take the head out and clean it with alcohol and cotton swabs. Step three is to check the ink is making it through the tubes and check that ink is getting into the cartridges then repeat step one. if still not working I try to put a little alcohol into the cartridges to flush through the print head to break anything up that might be on the opposite side. Then the final one if none of that works just take the whole head out and let it soak in a bath of warm water and dish soap then thoroughly dry reinsert and go back to step one.

Epson SureColor p700: Surecolor P700 water spill 😭😭

Hi there - after 6 years of being so paranoid about my printer I finally goofed royally. I left a cup of water on top of my printer, went to answer the door, and after doing several other unimportant things walked back into the room. The printer had the “error turn off and on again” on the screen and that’s when I realized the cup was turned over on the rear paper feed and my cat was asleep happily on my bed 😭. I immediately unplugged, gently tilted to remove water, took out the ink cartridges and have all the doors and paper feed areas open in front of a fan.

Epson’s closest certified repair place is 3 hours away, and when I called the gentleman said it’s a gamble to mail in for repair as the printer wheel is so sensitive. He suggested continuing to dry it out under the fan and a local place may be able to do a water cleaning once it’s dry. I called around and one place closer to me is willing to do a $75 diagnostic work up but said they don’t keep Epson parts in stock and usually it’s cheaper to replace than repair.

I’m cooked, right? Praying by some miracle when I try to power up in 24-48 hours it just acts like everything is normal 😭😭😭😭.

Epson Printer: Epson PX650 printer head overheating message, etc

Hello, I have three Epson PX650s in various states of repair. (I like these printers better than the models which replaced them). OK, printer 1 is the "most" working - this prints perfectly fine in normal mode, but in high quality mode, or CD print, it makes a grinding noise and jams. Also scanning is noisy. Printer 2 was working OK until recently, now suddenly showing a "print head overheating" message. Printer 3 is the most dead -this comes up with an error message as soon as the power is turned on, just gives one click then stalls. I'm perfectly happy to spend some time taking them apart and have the instructions and the diagnosing program. What would the experts' advice be? To replace printer 2's head with one from 1 or 3? Or to replace 1's mechanical parts from one of the others? Or is 3's start-up problem likely to be something simple? Any advice appreciated. Thanks, MD. (PS - it seems to be a kind of tribute to this model that they are now selling on eBay for more than they were when sold new!)

Epson WF-2540: Why is the printer not turning on?

I bought this printer last year and never touched it or took it out of the box until now. The printer is brand new. I set up the internet connection without any problem. However, I started printing and all of a sudden, the printer turned off by itself. I tried turning it back on but would not turn on. I even tried changing plugs to see if the plug is the problem. What can I do to fix this printer?

Epson Printer: epson printer won't print color

Hi my Epson Printer ET 2800 won't print color, from few days. Problem come after several several cleaning cycles and I did not want to waste anymore ink. I cleaned the heads by injecting a cleaning solution through the ink feed ports per videos. Black works fine, but none of the 3 color heads will print anything during a nozzle check. No spots, nothing but blank sheet where CYM should be printing. Cables to the head look fine. Any suggested causes or fixes?

work force pro printer 4630: Problem downgrading the firmware of an Epson WF-7840

Good morning everyone,

I've had the bad idea to upgrade the firmware of our Epson WF-7840 (version CD17M6 now).

Now, our non epson cartridges are not recognised anymore.

I've search the web about how to downgrade the firmware. I found the procedure, found how to put the printer in "recovery mode" and, on the Epson website, I found the "Recovery Mode Firmware version CB08LC" for the Epson WF-7840.

But it doesn't work...

First problem, the model of the printer does not appear in the "Epson firmware updater" but it sees that a printer is connected.

Second problem, and it is where it stops, when I launch the Update, it fails with a message on the printer's screen "Data file not found".

I tried with my mac (macbook pro 16" m1 max) and with an older macbook pro from 2009 with the same result. I tried with another USB cable and still no luck.

What am I doing wrong?
