Epson ET-2400: NON user-serviceable ET-2400 ink pads, information needed.

I am thinking about buying an ET-2400 (brief Black Friday discount = $179) and I have done my research but the one thing that seems to have almost no information is the waste ink pad situation. From Epson's ET-2400 user guide (see pages 159-160) it tells me that there are 2 different inkpads (one for borderless printing, the other for normal printing). But it also says that these pads are NOT user serviceable components (so there is no Maintenance Box to buy) and that it requires they be replaced by an "authorized Epson service provider".

Any idea roughly how often these pads need replacing?
Any idea what it costs to have it done the official Epson way?
Any tutorials on DIY that is written specifically for the ET-2400 (for either or both types of ink pads) ??

Any help with any of these questions is appreciated.

I called Epson she trouble shot it and no joy still says paper jam. no paper anywhere. all lights blinking. its eco tank so taking out cartridge is a no go. any suggestions?

Epson ET-2400: What is the original "real" model number for the ET-2400?

Many equipment makers who make special deals with individual retailers to promote a unit have a practice of issuing custom model numbers just for such a promotion. Sometimes these special models have a slightly tweaked feature but often the only difference is the official model number.

Is the ET-2400 a wholly unique unit or is it actually a different model just renumbered for the Walmart/Target promotion going on now? If so, what is the actual/original model number? This information would be quite useful when looking up articles and videos about the printer.

Epson ET-2400: Failure to connect to Apple iMac

Since I updated my iMac with the latest Ventura software update (13.3.1) my Epson ET-2500 printer no longer receives instructions to print. When I try to reinstall the drivers etc and then choose connection method it causes the wifi on my iMac to turn off. I moved on to the next step and tried using the WPS button on my router but this has failed also. Any ideas, I can't use a cable connection due to the location of the printer and my kids use this printer too.
