I have an LG 70UN7070PUA, 4k television I'm having a problem with. It's hard to explain but I'm getting these red pixel smears on the screen. They movie around when something on the screen moves. I replaced the TCon board but it's still doing the same thing. It does this on all 3 hdmi ports and no matter what hdmi cables I use. Should I try replacing the main board next, or is something else the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Hisense Television: Screen Flickers with Horizontal and Vertical Lines

We bought a new TV back in December to replace this one, and until recently this TV was sitting unplugged in a hallway. After moving it upstairs and into its current location, the screen starts covered in horizontal and vertical lines, bleeding the colours on the screen. This occurs on every input and in the menus.

What's strange is that after several minutes, the picture will start to resolve properly, starting at the top and working its way down. During this time, there are no issues with audio and the menus are responsive to input with no freezing or delay. Below are some pictures taken specific timeframes after the TV has been turned on (put into Store Mode to demonstrate).

Just after turning on:

After about 2 minutes

After about 5 minutes

After about 7 minutes

After about 10 minutes

I have tried replacing the T-Con board and the ribbon cables between it and the display, but the issue remained the same after doing this. Same with reseating the LDVS connectors to the main board.

I'm trying to figure out if I need to replace the main board now, however after being burned on a T-con replacement that I apparently didn't need, I thought I would ask if anyone has seen anything like this before and could advise if it might be from some other, environmental issue or an issue with the screen itself. I've tried running it on and off the surge protector, on a different outlet in the room, and even with the nearby router turned off in case there was EM interference.

Goal Zero Yeti 1500x Portable Power Station: Goal Zero Yeti 1500X - AC outlets not working

(2 beeps, white light, 0V output)

"The 120V AC outlets on my Goal Zero Yeti 1500X have stopped providing power. When I press the AC button, the LED turns solid white and the unit emits two loud beeps, but my digital multimeter confirms 0V at both outlets.

Troubleshooting already performed:

Soft reset, Factory reset, and Deep Battery reset (RESET+INFO).

Tested with all inputs/outputs disconnected (no ground loop or overload).

USB and 12V DC ports are still working; unit still accepts a charge.

No 'Exxx' error codes or temperature icons appear on the display.

Since the AC light turns white but no power is output, I suspect a blown internal inverter fuse or a failed MOSFET. Does anyone have a board diagram or know the specific locations of the internal AC fuses for the 1500X?"

HomePod Mini: HomePod Touch Sensor Issue Workaround No Replacement Needed

I have multiple HomePods with faulty touch sensors that would randomly trigger playback, which seems to be a fairly common issue based on other reports.

After looking into replacement options, I found that replacement touch panels are difficult to source. Since I rarely use the touch controls and mostly rely on "Hey Siri", I decided to try disconnecting the touch interface instead.

Using a teardown as a reference, I found that disassembly is relatively straightforward and the touch panel connector is accessible without too much difficulty.

I did not document the full process, but if you follow a teardown, the general steps are:

The base is held on with strong adhesive, so you will need to carefully pry it off

Remove a couple of T6 screws and one T8 screw

There are a few additional T6 screws securing the internal assembly

Once inside, locate the ribbon cable for the touch panel, which uses a small lever latch connector

Disconnect that cable, then reassemble everything

Note:

If replacement touch panels become available, you can replace the touch sensor at this stage instead of disconnecting it, since the connector is already accessible during disassembly.

Result:

You can disconnect the touch panel, reassemble the HomePod, and it will continue to function normally. The only thing that no longer works is the touch input.

I wanted to share this because I had not seen many people suggest simply disconnecting the touch sensor as a workaround. If your HomePod is experiencing ghost touches or random playback, this can be an effective way to keep it usable without replacing parts.

Since most smart speakers are primarily used via voice, losing touch functionality is not a major downside, at least in my case.

Be careful when removing the base adhesive and disconnecting ribbon cables to avoid damage.

Hope this helps others!

HomePod: Loud noise after a few minutes of play.

I have a 1st gen HomePod. It has always worked well until one day a loud buzzing sound came from the speaker. It happens every time it is on for just a few minutes. I have to unplug it to get the persistent tone to stop. When i plug it back in it works fine for a few minutes and then it makes that loud buzzing noise.
