Electric Ratchet Repair: My battery ratchet pauses when is use.

I have a Dewalt 12v battery ratchet and I love it. I’ve compared it to many other brands and it’s by far my favorite. But, recently it has been pausing while being used. I pull the trigger and it might run for 5 seconds and then it’ll quit. I’ll push the trigger again and another 5 seconds. I have 5 batteries for it and it happens with all my batteries fully charged.

Do you think this is possibly a simple wiring issue. Maybe a short on the load wires coming from the battery port, or something worse?
