The beater bar isn't spinning, the belt seems fine, the suction is good. The filters have been cleaned. I've had the vacuum for about 5 years and never had an issue until now. It also doesn't want to stand upright--but this could be an unrelated issue.

Dyson DC45: Why does my Dyson stop working every 3-5 seconds

We have a Dyson DC45. It shuts off (stops working) every 3-5 seconds. Can this be fixed, by myself or at a repair centre?

The Dyson DC 45 ( I have shown DC56 here as it appears similar to the DC45) stops every 3-5 seconds when in use. The following is a more detailed series of the events which occur.

The Dyson is fully charged, when starting use with the brush head attachment, stops working after about 10 seconds of use.

We turn it on using the trigger starter. It stops again after about 3 seconds. We release the trigger and press it again. It starts and runs for approximately 3 seconds, then stops again. The sequence of restarting is repetitive until we give up in frustration.

Is there a "home fixable solution" or must it be taken to a repair shop? If so, where in the Toronto area can it be taken.

When I try to pull on the tab to open the bin it won’t move it appears to be jammed and I can clean out the hover which is a major problem

We press the trigger button and the the hoover works for a few seconds and then stops. It does this consistently

Dyson Vacuum: Red lever will not pull up so I can empty/replace canister

I cannot empty my V8 canister because the red lever will not budge will I try to pull it up. Dyson is sending me a new canister, but have no idea how I can change it because you have to pull the red lever to release the current one.

Dyson v6 Absolute: Why isn't my Dyson charging?

Dyson Cordless yellow (v6 animal or motorhead? ) upright stick vacuum and handheld)

At first when I put Bumblebee ( I named her after Transformers) on the charger the light came on and the vacuum went vrrm for a second before dying , than after that nothing just a click , now just silence and no light .. reminiscent of old car in the winter when the starter or alternator go out . I d like to know if there is a way to know which the problem is and if it's something I can myself fix and or replace.

Dyson DC14: No suction. Air comes out of small vent.

All of a sudden my dyson dc14 stopped working. When you turn it on, it starts fine, but after about 2 seconds you hear a loud hiss (air) and all of the air is directed out of the tiny vent above the filter. Everything is clean and seems to be connected properly. Could something not be air tight? I'm out of ideas.

Dyson v6 Absolute: 0V missing at the brush head motor

The brush head has stopped working. I have cleaned all the removable parts properly and put it back together. However it still fails to spin. The vacuum motor is working fine!

So, next I took the main body to pieces to reveal the PCB. Using my multimeter I found there was 21V across the vacuum motor terminals. But when I went across the brush head supply terminals I get nothing. However if I go on the positive terminal of the brush head and the negative of the vacuum motor I get 21V.

i’m aware that there is some sort of overload to protect the brush head motor in the case of drawing high currents, and im assuming it’s in the negative line, but where is it? And can I reset or replace?

Dyson V15 Detect: Dyson V15 Detect stops after a few seconds with no indicators

I've had it for nearly 2 years. The problem occurs when I press the trigger—it runs for a few seconds and then stops (with its signature "wooump" sound). It repeats this 2-3 times before eventually working. However, now I can't get it to run for longer than a few seconds, even after several tries.

I’ve changed the filter and cleaned everything I can access. In some forums, I’ve read that it might be an issue with the "main body," (whatever that means) while others suggest it could just be a cracked trigger, which should be an easy fix.

Why is my Dyson going on an off when I'm holding the on button?

First let me say, the battery charges just fine and I’ve totally cleaned out the collection bin. I push the button to turn on the vacuum and it works, but then turns off and on over and over again while I’m still holding the button down.

I looked this up online and someone said the filter needed to be cleaned. So I took out the filter rinsed it as the online instructions said, let it dry, then put it back in. This did not solve the problem.

Any other suggestions?

Dyson Cinetic Animal: The rotating brushes are not spinning.

When I attach the rotating brush attachment, the brush will start but as soon as I put it down on a rug, it dies suddenly. There are no clogs in the hose and I have been cleaning the vacuum regularly. What can I do to fix it?

Dyson DC58: Dyson DC 35 handheld intermittently shutting off

With trigger pulled, it shuts off and then have to pull the trigger again and it works. After about 5 minutes or so of using it with it shutting off intermittently, when it shuts off, I have to wait a couple of minutes before it will work again.

My wand is not sucking. I took the hose completely off and it appears that the connecting hose at the base where the wand hose connects at the base. I have checked all hoses and the wand, there is not any blockages.
