Dyson v8: Not working - 3 blue light on

Hi,

my Dyson v8 is not working. At first I thought it was a battery, but when I press the power button, the 3 blue lights come on (not just one - a weak battery indicator). But the cleaner doesn't work. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Dyson V8: No power to carpet brush attachment.

Hello I have no power to the brush attachment I tested with my meter and I get no voltage from the pins at the head or the vacuum motor handle. The vacuum comes on and provides great suction but no power to carpet brush. I even tried a new brush component.

Dyson V8 Absolute: it only stays on for 10 seconds... and turns itself off. help?

Dyson V8 Absolute: The bin won’t open it appears to be severely jammed

When I try to pull on the tab to open the bin it won’t move it appears to be jammed and I can clean out the hover which is a major problem

Suddenly during cleaning my v8 has been stopped and blue light start flashing. When I put into the charger the 2 lights are shining and one is flashing. What's wrong? Thanks!

Dyson V8 Absolute: Dyson V8 tools not spinning even though 20-22 volts at tool head

Hi I have a Dyson V8 that the motors stopped spinning on all 3 of my attachment spinning tools. I completely disassembled and cleaned it. I checked voltage coming out of the vacuum and am getting 22 volts coming out of the vacuum to the tools. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. No suction issues. Super frustrated! Thanks

So I charge the dyson and it works fine whilst im using it now if I put it down overnight (not in the cradle) it is dead come morning. If I disconnect the battery and put it back the next day its fine. So its like there is a short or something? Any ideas. I have got a free new extra battery to the same effect from Dyson

Dyson V8: While trigger is held, vacuum turns on and off repeatedly

I have a Dyson V8 Parquet. When using it with any attachment, sometimes it will rapidly (about once per second) stop and start. The LEDs remain on throughout. Is it possible that the button is not making good contact? It sometimes feels like shifting my finger slightly resolves the problem. The "trigger guard" (thin plastic piece underneath the button) got snapped off at some point, which is part of why I suspect the button may be at fault.

Hi guys, having an issue with the standard soft-floor turbine head attachment, the brush bar no longer turns inside. I've taken it apart and checked for blockages and there don't see to be any, I've also checked the rotating head that spins the brush bar and it seems to turn freely - any ideas?

Dyson V8 Absolute: What to do about short run time

Bought a Dyson V8 Absolute (not included in selections) a year ago. It worked great for awhile, then started to act like the battery was not fully charging. I purchased a third party battery which worked okay for awhile, but then the run time was dramatically reduced (5 minutes or less). I cleaned it thoroughly and no change. I stripped completely down to the motor and the same thing happened with no load. I recently watched a video that showed that much of the power control circuitry is inside the battery. In fact, the on off switch is actually in the batter, not the vacum head. I am about to purchase another battery if no one has a better answer. I see this appears to be a common issue with Dysons and cleaning is the first recommendation. I have had Dysons for a few years and know how to clean them completely. That is not the issue.

Dyson V8 Animal: Does anyone know how to safely remove red circle clips on Fluffy Head

One of the wires in my Dyson V8 Fluffy Motorized Head is broken. When it swivels right, power to the motor is cut. Swivels left — the motor comes back on. I figured it to be the white wire. It can be replaced — but only if I can figure out how to unclip the red, circular clips to disassemble the head and re-wire it. I know I can Frankenstein it if I just run the wire outside the head… but I’d rather have it clean and streamlined.

I've read that replacing a cordless vacuum battery with an aftermarket alternative can be risky.

How does one determine if an aftermarket rechargeable battery will be safe and effective?

I'm wondering about aftermarket rechargeable batteries in general and rechargeable vacuum batteries in particular.

Dyson V8 Absolute: Why m'y Dyson stops when using Motorhead?

Hello,

I have a problem with m'y Dyson v8

It works well without motorised brush, but if i connect motorised brush, it doesn't work at all, no suction, no rotation.

I only have the three LEDs on thé battery turned on.

If remove the brush, it doesn't works anymore. I have to plug and unplug the charger for one second to make it work again (without motorised brush)

My daughters V8 motor / head will not power the shaft and rotating head. I have a V10 that will attach to the shaft and rotating head and it operates perfectly. The V8 motor / head when attached will not power the rotating head. How to I clean or repair it?
