Dyson V10: Gasket and ring on bin

Somehow, my wife is dislodged the O-ring that seals the end of the bin to the motorhead. Has anybody had to replace this?

I bought the cleaner 4 years ago and the filter needs replacement for the second time.

Filter light on and motor hunting with a clean filter.

I would not expect filters which have been washed as recommended to require periodic replacement. Is there a fault on the machine
