Dyson DC56: motor starts and stops when trigger is pressed

The motor on my DC56 starts and stops when the trigger is pressed. It used to run continuously if you didn’t use the boost button but now it does it all the time. There is no burning smells and the motor sounds OK.

Dyson DC56: DC31 cuts out (not the filter)

So I bought a used DC31 on ebay and for a while it was fine but now its started cutting out after a few seconds, ive been through all the you tube videos and ive cleaned it , checked the pins , the battery seems ok as I can get a month of use out of it by releasing and repressing the trigger, there is no blockages.

Im stumped I did read something about a thermocouple but no specific details on what where and how.

Dyson DC56: when press power switch light on the motor flashes but motor no go

when i press the red power button, the green light on the top of the motor housing flashes slowly but the motor does not turn. when the max button is activated, the green light on that button flashes at the same speed as the green light on the motor housing, but stillthe motor does not turn. have replaced the battery to no avail.
