Dyson DC14: No suction through hose in upright position

I get no suction from the hose. I've checked every part/area for a blockage and everything is clear. I've changed my Post Filter and emptied the clear bin and even looked to see if the internals were clear. When I have the canister off, the suction on the right side tube is very strong, but when I put the canister back on, there is very weak suction through the hose. There is still suction when I vacuum, just not through the hose when it's in the upright position.

Dyson DC14: No suction. Air comes out of small vent.

All of a sudden my dyson dc14 stopped working. When you turn it on, it starts fine, but after about 2 seconds you hear a loud hiss (air) and all of the air is directed out of the tiny vent above the filter. Everything is clean and seems to be connected properly. Could something not be air tight? I'm out of ideas.

Thanks!!

Dyson DC14: Dyson DC14 beater brush bar won’t STOP spinning.

DC14 Animal Upright beater brush bar typically stopped spinning when the vacuum was placed in the upright position (as expected). Now the beater brush no longer turns off when I stand the vacuum up to use the wand. Vacuum is also making a slight high-pitched sound for first minute or two after being powered on; not sure if any correlation but mentioning since this began maybe a month or two before I realized beater bar wasn’t stopping. I’ve taken it all apart & cleaned it well. No problem there as we have five girls with long hair & have to clean it often anyway. My best thought was the clutch, but all signs I can find online of a bad clutch point to bar *not* spinning. I have the opposite problem. Any ideas? Cannot find ANYONE with this issue online so not sure if I should go through hassle of replacing clutch or not in case it’s a different issue. What part makes the beater bar stop when the vacuum is placed in upright position?

Dyson DC14: Lower belt not spinning on new clutch assembly

Initial problem was a non-spinning brusher bar. I cleaned around the bar and the ends of the bar. It still wasn't working so I identified loose belts as a possible problem so I replaced the clutch assembly and the belts.

After installing the new clutch the lower, brusher-bar side belt is still not spinning. I've double checked if the bar that engages the clutch/belt for proper positioning. I've also tried running it without anything attached to the lower side of the clutch. The motor belt still spins but the lower belt does not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
