The little bit of plastic on the handle that locks the barrel to the body has broken off, can it be replaced or fixed? the vacuum cleaner works fine otherwise.

Dyson DC08: I think machine has blown fuse

I think machine has blown fuse. The cord got caught while vacuuming, stopped and will not turn on again. There was no noise or burning smell. Nothing to indicate motor failure. The cord is undamaged. I suspect the machine plug became dislodged from the power socket or something similar to make it blow a fuse. What type of fuse do I need please? Is this something an electrician could fix as I live in a remote area , need the machine for daily use for medical reasons and for medical reason cannot use another machine in the meantime until this one is fixed.
