DualShock 4 CHU-ZCT2U Generation 4: Left stick activates the right trigger

I was having this issue with my ds4 that the R2 trigger kept activating itself spontaneously, I checked the input reading in DS4Windows and it did in fact show that the R2 was working on its own.

I read on this thread that this issue is caused because of dirt between the contact surfaces of the cable sheet and the trigger and the solution was to just clean them. I've replaced the cable sheet before so I knew how to clean it safely, and so I did, but after I reassembled everything the r2 trigger stopped working all together. The reading in DS4Windows show that the R2 is completely dependent on the left stick now. It doesn't spontaneously activate itself now, but the &&^&^$^ left stick is controlling it.

Here is a demonstration. Can anyone help me out with this? What could be the issue? I found this thread on IFixit which describes the exact problem, but its for the Xbox controller. I don't seem to understand what parts are the DS4 equivalent to be able to narrow down the problem for myself.

I put the controller on charge, light turned to orange, but it's not charging the battery

I tried it without the battery and only with the battery; it works fine, but there is no charging at all

How can I fix the issue?

One of my controllers started drifting so i decided to just replace the analog stick completely since i've done it a lot before but when i replace it it became worse so i replace it again with no luck after that i did it 3 more times and still the same issue also i'm sure the analogs i bought are good since i used them on other controllers with no issues but this time i'm stumped

I got a problem with another controller, i deassembled it for cleaning the joysticks and suddenly got this touchpad problem, it detects a touch when i’m not touching it, tried cleaning the touchpad and disconnecting and reconnecting it but i realized it has this touchpad problem even when the touchpad isn’t connected, tried also resetting the controller but didn’t work. If this helps, the touch is in the top left corner, i really need to fix it because i can’t write and can’t play games like Hogwarts Legacy, or Marvel’s Spiderman Miles Morales, could someone tell me what to do? 😭

So i connected my controller but to the wall instead of my ps4 and ts burnt n don’t know how to replace it or buy a replace

I opened it, because i though it was the battery, and replaced it and didn’t work, then i unassembled it completely, and it even has the black thing that appears when something burns, and all the plastics around, like the one holding the battery is melted in the closer parts, and also the case plastic

DualShock 4 CHU-ZCT2U Generation 4: extremeRate modded PS4 controller, Square unreliable

Hi all, I grew tired of replacing the rubber under the dpad on my PS4 controller and decided to try modify the controller to use the extremeRate clicky button kit. Which worked well, until the other night when square stopped working reliably.

I know the problem is the contacts between the extreme rate and the top side of the main board. Tightening the silver 00 6mm Phillips screw that holds the contacts together fixes it, but after an hour of street fighter it was back to missing square inputs.

What i think has happen is the threaded hole on the underside of the controller face panel has been damaged and is becoming loose. I might be able to harvest the face panel / screw from an old controller, although I'm not sure this a viable solution.

An alternative solution might be to get something to push against the bottom side of the main board... Or even the battery? This in theory would maintain the contacts. But I haven't a clue how I'd do this.

The controller has water damage (two toddlers on the house), I replaced the battery as it was showing signs of swelling. Bought the appropriate battery here. The controller works so long as it’s plugged in but does not otherwise hold a charge. Is there another common component to fail that would cause this?

The Left stick on my controller is bound to my L2 trigger, so whenever i move, like in a FPS game, the scope always opens up. That is possibly the best explaination i can give.

i have tried youtube, reddit and have not found a solution

I was playing an online game and got so angry that I threw my favourite controller, 5 years old, on the floor full force. I regret it terribly.

I've opened her up many times to change worn out rubber padding. I opened her up again, saw nothing wrong except a broken metal weight on the lower left. Put her together. I use her on PC, so i checked the inputs and they were fine on windows. I check them in game and button inputs are mixing, I press SQUARE and the results with be SQUARE TRIANGE. Or I press R1 and Ill get R1, CIRCLE and CROSS output results. I suspect the green motherboard inside is faulty or needs a replacement? What do think?

So recently I replaced both joysticks on my controller and since I did this the R2 button does not work. I cleaned the contacts, tried to replace the mylar but still nothing. The L2 button is triggered when I touch the joystick contacts with my finger. Can anyone help?
