Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: Error code on dryer F01

My dryer showed Error code F01. I called professional who said I needed to replace the control board, but the repair estimate was $461! Can I replace the control board myself? If so, how? The part is # W10174745 for Kenmore H3 electric dryer. Apparently it is a Whirlpool part made for a Kenmore dryer.

Thanks, Pat

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: Dryer won't start (interior light working, control panel not working)?

My gas dryer is 10 years old, purchased in 2004. Last week it stopped working. The interior light turns on when I open the door, and it turns off when I close the door. In other words, the electricity is working fine.

However, when I push the buttons on the control panel to start the dryer, the lights on the control panel do not turn on, and nothing happens. Any suggestions?

Kenmore Series 80 Dryer: Dryer won't stay hot

I have a Sears Kenmore 80 Series Gas Dryer (Model 110.72822101) that dries only when it feels like it. Since it's over 25 years old, it doesn't owe me a thing. However, I think it's probably something simple to fix. I watched through the hole in the front, and this is what happens: 10 secs after I push Start, the igniter glows for about 10 secs and then the flame catches. It burns for about 7-8 mins and goes out. I continued to watch for about 5 mins, and every 45 secs the igniter would glow but the flame wouldn't catch. I've left it running for about 15 mins and checked it every few minutes... same thing. It doesn't matter if I have it set on Auto Moisture Sensing or Timed Drying. I Googled the "symptoms" and several videos came up. Apparently, my problem may be 1) No gas reaching the dryer (clearly this isn't it since it ignited for 7-8 mins); 2) gas valve assembly; 3) gas valve coil; 4) clogged orifice. When I let the dryer cool and then try again, the flame usually catches. Any ideas?

Kenmore Series 110 Dryer: Dryer stopped in middle of a cycle.

I have a Kenmore Electric dryer model 110.69622800 type DWSR-ele-2406026 CV 54. I unassembled the dryer completely. Cleaned every area. Spun the shaft of the motor….slight friction noise, but seems to turn freely. Seems there is a signal returning back to the start button - faint "click" or "trip" that will not allow the dryer to turn on. Dryer is younger than 6 years, but has dried clothes for 6 people - 2 loads per day average!

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: Why does the dryer stop after the pushbutton start switch is released

Kenmore Elite 110.73942100 Gas Dryer

This is a Kenmore Elite natural gas dryer. When I push the start button the dryer drum begins to tumble. When I release the start switch the drum stops. I have tried all the settings on the dial. Timed, automatic, heat, air cooled. It doesn't seem to matter, the unit will only stay on if I continue to hold in the start button. The moment I release it the unit stops.

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: Dryer won't start. No error codes. Replaced thermal fuse, door switch.

My dryer won't start. The red lights work and light inside work, so it has power. I replaced the thermal fuse and door switch. No luck. The panel lights work normally. After I select the dryer setting and start it, it beeps, but doesn't start. I don't here any noises after the beep, nor do I see the drum move. I do hear a click coming from the area of the PC board as it beeps. Also, the fan spins freely, so there doesn't appear to be anything obstructing it. The drum turns by hand. The belt is attached and in good working order. I checked the PC board. No obvious signs of being burnt. I suspect the motor is bad, but don't want to replace it if that isn't the problem. Is there way to further diagnose the dryer or the motor specifically? Thank you.
