BenQ SW2700pt monitor: Replacing all the caps on the monitor's power board didn't help...

My 3.5 years old monitor started to black out for 1-2 sec every minute or so, it was doing this even with PC disconnected from it. I searched online and read that it's probably aging capacitors and there's a workaround to lower the brightness.

I lowered it from 100 to 65% and it indeed helped, but after a couple of months the issue returned... I continued to lower the brightness, but it helped only for a couple of hours at most, then I needed to lower it further... Turning the monitor off and waiting for it to cool down also helped for a short time, after which it continued to black out every 10-30 sec... I decided to take the monitor apart and look at the power board, and indeed saw 3 bulged capacitors.

I bought new replacement caps and went to a professional (soldering is not among my skills), and he replaced all the caps on the power board except the biggest one for high voltage, since it seemed fine and rarely goes bad according to my research. But he mesured it's capacitance and saw it was 120 uF instead of 150, but I decided to see if replacing every other caps fixed the issue (I also didn't have the replacement for the big cap)...

Unfortunately it did not, the monitor continued to black out periodically, I continued to lower the brightness for several hours untill I hit the bottom and at the end the monitor started to fade frantically and after a short time blacked out for good...

I replaced the last capacitor on the power board (150 uF 450 V), but it didn't help, my monitor now is permanently black and doesn't turn on at all (the indicator light turnes white and then red after a minute). And I can see the image on the screen with a flashlight, so it is a backlight issue.

I measured the output voltages from the PSU board to the backlight on CN801 connector (see my 2nd picture below). It's 29.3 V on contacts 3 and 4 (red wires), the rest are 0.

I get the same voltages readings with the power cable plugged in, regardless of whether the backlight is connected to the PSU or not, and whether I turn the monitor on or off with the button (it just drops from 29.3 to 29.2 V when I turn it off).

Someone who took apart the same monitor mentioned on another forum that each wire goes to a pair of LED strips with 10 LEDs on each strip, and the voltage he measured was about 60 V. Those findings correspond to the reference data I received from BenQ tech support. Apparently the voltages I get are half of the nominal...

Does this mean that my power board is faulty? If it is, how can I pinpoint the faulty component on the board? Or the problem is rather the backlight LED strips failure as many people clame? This is a great monitor I payed a lot of money for and I'd really like to fix it instead of throwing it away...

Thanks.

Display: My computer screen is just turning white on startup?

So I am currently having a problem with a computer screen I have. Whenever I turn the computer on and then turn on my screen, the screen just turns white and like blank. I don't know what to do, so I just try to turn off the screen and then turn it on a few minutes later. But that never works! I can't even use the screen. It's always white, no matter what. Does it have to do with the graphics card or something? Can anyone please help me with my problem? Thanks.

Display: Monitor turns off randomly.

I have a BenQ 27 inch monitor. I hook the monitor to my laptop to have a larger display. It was working fine for a year.

The issue:

Recently the monitor shuts off every 1~2 minutes, and after another 1~2 minutes turns back on. This cycle goes over and over. A few observations are as follows.

During the turn off, its green power button also turns off (the power button will not become orange). That means, it is not just the display that goes off, but it seems the whole power of monitor goes off. I suspect this is a power issue.

During the time when the monitor is on, there is no problem with the display itself. I doubt it this is the issue with the graphic card of a driver related issue.

Changing the power cord, or power outlet does not help. It is also connected firmly.

Changing the cords of either VGA, HDMI, Display port and their connectors does not affect the issue.

Using a different laptop/PC or operating system connected to the monitor does not affect this issue. Also, my laptop works fine with other monitors.

My attempt to fix it:

I suspected this might be a bad capacitor on the power board. I neither found a bulged capacitor by a visual inspection, nor there was a smell or noise from capacitors. However, I ordered a couple of capacitors online with the same specs, and replaced some of them on the power board. The issue still persists.

Question:

I do not think I am able to find which component on the board is causing the issue. So, I want to just order a whole board from a vendor.

Before spending time and money on ordering a board, I want to (almost) make sure if it is the power board issue at all, or maybe the main board (graphic board) issue?

Thanks.

Display: Should I replace the inverter or the motherboard first?

Hello,

I have a 35in zero-g curved ultrawide gaming monitor v2. My warranty is expired and I'm seeing if i can fix it. When i plug it in the LEDs on the back flash for a moment and then nothing happens. It stopped working after i was rearranging my set up and plugging in stuff. Anyways i was testing the inverter inside to see if it was delivering power. And it is, but it's doing over 12v. 18 and and sometimes 20v but the board says it should be putting out 12v

Is this normal? Or is it potentially part of the problem. I'm just trying too figure out which board i should attempt to replace first

Inverter: AY076D-1SF02

Motherboard: jry-w9cuhd-av1
