Vornado 660: Fan turns on but blades won’t spin

My Vornado fan turns on but the blades won’t spin unless I spray lubricant on the shaft underneath the blades. I’ve had to do this once a week for a few months now but recently I’m having to do this every other day now. It’s an expensive fan and I’m a novice at electrical repairs, is this something that I can fix with a part replacement and simple troubleshooting or is my fan completely done functioning?

Holmes Blizzard Fan: How to connect fan motor without switch and capacitor

Hi Guys,

I have a Honeywell fan and it stopped working. I tried to connect the motor to the electricity and I found that the motor works. Here is the picture of the motor:

Now, there is a high probability that the switch or the capacitor is not working. Here is the picture of the switch and capacitor:

I tried to directly connect the motor to the electricity but the problem is that the motor has 6 cords but the electrical cord has two and I don’t know how should I connect the electricity to the fan without switch and capacitor.

I tried to connect the electrical cord to the two random cords but the direction of rotation is different and it makes a bad smell after a few seconds! Here is a picture of the cords

Thanks.

GD Midea FT30-3D: Where can I purchase a replacement motor?

Where can I purchase a replacement motor FT30-3d? Or find replacement parts for this particular fan motor? I am looking for the shaft insulators for both ends (fan blade and oscillating end) they have completely deteriorated and do nothing for the shaft ball bushings. And I might possibly need the running capacitor as well. Fan blades move a short distance and then stop. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
