Dell XPS 15 9550: Windows 10 says password is incorrect when it wakes up from Sleep

This morning, I turned on my laptop and entered my password to sign in to Windows 10. Everything was normal as usual. In the noon, I put the laptop to sleep and then I left. After an hour, I resumed it, but Windows 10 said my password is incorrect. I checked my password several times and I’m quite certain it is correct, but the Windows 10 keeps saying the password is incorrect. I tried to restart Windows 10, but it still did not work. Why is this? How can I sign back to my Windows 10 now?

Dell XPS 15 9550: Why is Dell XPS battery not charging?

I have a Dell XPS 15 and gotten an alert before starting the laptop that reads "Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined. The battery may not be charge. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available. Note: This warning can be disabled in BIOS setup."

Since this appear the battery won't charge but laptop will be on if the charger is plugged in. It's not the battery nor charger the problem because it's still fairly new laptop. I did used a 90w charger which probably cause the problem because the laptop uses a 130w charger. However I have both and its still given me issue. Any suggestions to fix problem?

Dell XPS 15 9550: Display hinge broke from base

Hi,

My laptop hit the floor and the post that the laptop base hex screw attaches to snapped off. Not a problem, however the laptop keeps separating every time I close the lid and I have to push the top and bottom together to put the laptop to sleep. It’s now causing more internal damage and when I open it up, the clip has snapped off the laptop base as well as the screw hole to the base is also cracked in half. I’ve attached pics but wanted to know the hinge was attached to that I need to replace, as well as the hinge itself. This is on the same side as the power button. Any info would be very much appreciated. And not sure if the pictures uploaded or not but have those too.

Thanks!

Dell XPS 15 9550: XPS Laptop detects no wifi networks despite recognizing wifi card?

Computer is running Windows 10 Pro 22H2.

I think I have the same or similar question to here: Laptop Wifi Shows No Network connections

However, that thread was 5 years ago and no solution was reported there, and I don't want to necro a dead thread. Also, for all I know it is similar symptoms but different cause?

The laptop cannot see or connect to any network, despite other devices detecting and connecting to those networks. Even when it is within 2 inches of the router.

What I've gone through, in more or less chronological order:
Network troubleshooter is worthless. There is no physical switch and there are no networks that appear under the list (yes, wifi is turned on).
I can try to manually input the SSID and network password and still cannot connect.
I have tried reinstalling drivers, both Windows standard drivers and those available on the Dell support site.
I have completely disabled the device in Device Manager and restarted to automatically detect it again.
Tried manually removing all Wifi networks and resetting all network settings.
Used CMD in Admin mode to run ipconfig commands. (Everything reads "Media disconnected". All DHCPs are enabled. Refresh/Renew give "media disconnected" related errors, flushDNS is successful but doesn't help anything.)
Completely wiped and clean reinstalled the OS.

I have removed the physical wifi card and tested it (it works) in another system, as well as installing a new wifi card (that also works) and the new wifi card does not work in this system.

The Wifi Card also handles bluetooth, and bluetooth can both detect and successfully connect to other devices.

I have not yet attempted an ethernet connection. I was troubleshooting when I realized that I do not have an adapter compatible with this computer. I have one on order but it has not arrived yet.

Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated. About out of attempted solutions to try that the Google or the linked thread above have recommended.

UPDATE:
Thanks Jayeff for going through all the steps and helping me try things I didn't think of. After much, much more troubleshooting, the answer seems to be that this laptop, sometime over the course of updates over time, became incompatible with it's stock wireless card, even if that card still works, and using a different wifi card with similar capabilities addressed the issue.

Dell XPS 15 9550: Re-use? My XPS 9550 is broken, but my 4k display is (probably) okay

Hey Together!,
I have a broken Dell XPS 9550 with (working) 4k display…

Now I stick with the display cover and its 4k panel inside. Is there any way to re-use this display with a HDMI or Display-port controller as an external monitor?

Do I have to remove the LCD out of the cover for this? I don’t now how to get it out. But maybe the connectors to the mainboard already meet a standard and I can buy just some controller board to use it as a external monitor….

Does anyone know exactly which 4k display Dell used for this XPS? It is probably written on the back, but since I don’t know yet how to remove the panel from the cover, I can’t see it.

Thank for reading :) Hope I can still use this brilliant piece of tech somehow.
Greetings, Rodewyn.

Dell XPS 15 9550: Dell XPS 15 9550 97wh Battery Compatibility?

Dell does not sell it.

I checked online and there is a site called laptopbatteryexpress that seem to have excellent reviews. You can buy a battery for the xps 15 9550 for like 120 or 130 dollars depending on if you want the 84wh or the 97wh.

I did check old reviews from other sites a long time ago and someone mentioned in a mac forum that said uses garbage batteries like on ebay but charge retail prices. But when i check google and reviews, i see a ton of excellent reviews. Does anyone have opinion on this site? So from reading the site, these batteries are not geniune from dell but they are made by them... correct? But reviews seem to be superb. Has anyone bought any batteries from them and can give opinion? Price is pretty average i say... but how does it work?

I see ifixit only sells the 56wh and the 84wh only?

Update (09/19/2020)

I found 2 sites that seem to sell xps 15 9550 batteries. The first one is authentic as i believe lot of people mentioned this site earlier. It cost 150 dollars but it is genuine. They seem to have the 56wh and 84wh but the 56wh is not available now.

Does anyone know about laptopbatteryexpress? These don't seem to be authentic and seem to show made in samsung and shipped here. So are these very good but not premium? But they are selling at pretty close to retail prices so this is pretty good as well?

https://www.laptopbatteryexpress.com/Lon...

Now the big question i have is this. Does the xps 15 9550 allow a 97wh battery or not? Parts-people does not have a 97wh and doesn't ever have it. But laptopbatteryexpress has the 56wh, 84wh and even 97wh.

Update (09/19/2020)

Can anyone here confirm the 97wh works for the xps 15 9550? Because i certainly wouldn't mind getting the 97wh over the 84wh if it cost a bit more.

Also ifixit batteries are made by ifixitthemselves right? So its much better quality than those on amazon... but not as good as people parts since that is official dell parts?
