Dell XPS 15 9530: Touchscreen not working, touch screen wire burnt

Hi, my XPS 15 9530 touch screen is not working anymore. The wire for the touch screen which emanates from the display panel and goes into the motherboard seems to have burnt at a point. (pic: https://goo.gl/photos/5Y9NfXnqpM5zYWpP9) I am not sure why it burnt suddenly.

Is there way I can change this wire without replacing the whole display unit?

Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

(ps: I asked the Dell support and they told that the whole display assembly would have to be changed. TBH I don't trust Dell tech support much)

Dell XPS 15 9530: Graphics card not detected in bios or windows

I have bought a dell xps 15 9530 a couple years back which has just about left warranty and no longer detects it has an rtx 4060 installed resorting exclusively to integrated graphics. I have tried updating bios, drivers and windows updates to no avail.

It still occasionally shows up after a reboot or update but it always quite quickly causes a blue screen, and disappears upon rebooting.

The best answer I've been able to find online, is that its a pretty common problem caused by a faulty capacitor on the motherboard causing it to not get detected. I'm quite tight on money at the moment and cant really afford to send it away to a repair shop since i need it for university too. Any ideas?

Besides the missing graphics card it functions completely fine.

Dell XPS 15 9530: Need SATA cable to add SATA drive. Purchased cable that does not fit

I want to add SATA drive. I now have small battery. I searched for 9530 and found on amazon

Deal4GO SATA Hard Drive Cable HDD Connector Adapter for Dell Precision M3800 XPS 15 9530 L522X DG95V 0DG95V DC02C005S00

It doesn’t seem to fit. Dell says “end of life” and wont help me.

I googled 9530 videos and found some with laptops that look different. Mine has spring loaded door on back hiding two screws.

Owners manual:

https://dl.dell.com/manuals/all-products...

Q: am I not installing properly or is there a different part please.
