Dell XPS 13 9360: Laptop won't accept ifixit battery replacement.

I just bought a replacement kit for my XPS that was struggling because of poor battery life. I put the new battery in and I am now getting a warning that the laptop won't charge the new battery because it is a third-party battery. I know this is a known issue for some Dell computers. I have tried reinstalling the driver as was suggested on the site here and unplugging and replugging the battery back in without any success. Unfortunately, the battery will not charge and I continue to get the single white/single orange error flash pattern in addition to a BIOS error every time I start up the laptop. Just wondering if anybody has any other fixes beyond driver reinstallation for this specific laptop.

Dell XPS 13 9360: My laptop cpu dead . What can I do?

I bought this laptop from a second-hand market for 330$. After 2 two months later I got received a message from my bios saying to “update your bios” but didn’t know what that meant. After 7/8 days my laptop wouldn't turn on. I took it to a repair shop and they told me I had a dead CPU. I attempted to search for one on the market but couldn't find one, Bcz it’s a market out in Bangladesh. After that, I decided I would change the whole motherboard. But sadly I couldn’t find a replacement anywhere. What can I do ?😭 please help me. I don’t have the availability to buy a new one.

Dell XPS 13 9360: New Dell Battery sporadically recognized

I installed an ifixit battery into my Dell XPS 13 9360 and it worked perfectly for 1 week! Then randomly, my laptop light began flashing white and amber non-stop. I received an error saying the battery is not a Dell battery and so the computer will not charge it.

So I went into the BIOS set up settings and turned off adapter warnings and the problem stopped at first. But whenever I restart my computer or my computer goes to sleep and wakes up, the problem just restarts again! Sometimes it decides that it will not charge the battery either, but sometimes it will charge the battery just fine.

Has anyone found a permanent solution to this issue? It is not sustainable for me to enter bios set up every time I want to wake up my computer.

With the previous battery, the laptop would die as soon as the power cord was unplugged and it always had a yellow flashing light.

With the battery replacement, the indicator light no longer flashes yellow continuously and the BIOS tests pass. The battery will not charge past 46% and the laptop still dies immediately if power cord is unplugged.

Dell XPS 13 9360: Fan not turning on

I repasted the cpu and applied some thermal pads to the heatsink. Popped the chassis back on and when i fired it up i notice the fan doesn’t turn on. Ran a startup diagnostic and it reports the fan is functional. I’m wondering if I put too much insulation that the fan isn’t being triggered? The unit gets a little hotter on the bottom chassis but seems to run faster/doesn’t throttle as hard and core temp app reports lower temps. I would like the fan to turn on or at least know whats up, thanks.

Dell XPS 13 9360: How do I fix this broken laptop screen?

I have a spare Dell XPS 13 9260 and its screen is basically unusable. When I turn it on, it's just stuck on a dark color and sometimes it will flash the Windows login screen. I can't login either since it was my sister's, but she forgot the password to it years ago.
Dell XPS 13 9360: Touchpad stopped working after battery replacement

I purchased a replacement battery from iFixIt and the install went very well. However, the first time I started the laptop after replacing the battery, the touchpad worked for a bit, then suddenly stopped. The mouse cursor disappeared entirely. So I connected an external USB mouse and that mouse worked just fine. I checked Device Manager, and there is an error next to the IC2 HID device (which it seems is the touchpad).

There doesn't appear to be a way to upgrade the driver, but it also doesn't appear to be a software problem. I booted the laptop with an Ubuntu live USB and it didn't recognise the touchpad either. Again, I plugged-in an external USB mouse and that mouse worked fine in Ubuntu.

It seems like something must have happened, but I cannot figure out what. I opened the laptop again and checked the cables for the touchpad. As far as I can tell, nothing is amiss or lose. Any ideas on what I can do?

Dell XPS 13 9360: Battery Replacement problem for Dell 9360

I recently replaced the battery for my Dell 9360 using the Dell XPS 13 9360 Replacement Battery kit from iFixit, and it seemed to work fine for a few days, but now my battery doesn't seem to be charging properly. I followed the battery replacement instructions meticulously (Dell XPS 13 9360 Battery Replacement). However, now my battery often gets stuck charging at odd numbers like 32% for hours on end (similar to this post: New 97w Battery Replacement - Not charging past 47%) and will last < 2 hours without being plugged in. Somewhat relatedly, whenever it is plugged in, the fan is usually whirring a lot trying to keep cool.

I made a battery report like the post above's answer by @jayeff suggested. According to it, I have a 60,002 mWh design capacity, and a 45,288 mWh full charge capacity. Are these two numbers sufficiently close to each other? Do I have a bad battery? Is this a calibration problem? Did I just buy the wrong one??

Any help is appreciated!

Dell XPS 13 9360: Replacement Battery Not Recognised/Charging

Not a new question particularly - got a replacement battery from here only for the BIOS to tell me it's unrecognised (not OEM) and won't be charged. Tried this to no avail. Also flashed with the latest BIOS from Dell...

Removed the CMOS battery temporarily, can't get it to charge - LED remains flashing alternately white/amber.

I'm running ubuntu, not windows... any ideas gratefully received.
