Dell Venue 11 Pro: Tablet has an issue with rapid charging

I have a Venue 11 Pro that won’t rapid charge with the original Dell charging brick. I even tried another Dell Venue 11 brick, so that’s not the issue . The battery discharges while in use, even while plugged in. I checked the BIOS, and it’s only charging at 3W instead of 25W. It now has to charge overnight to reach 100%, where it it used to fully charge in a couple of hours. I brought it to IFIX New York, and they want $250 to repair it — just labor, no parts need replacing, apparently. It’s not worth $250, and it’s long out of warranty. Has anyone had this problem and knows a cheap fix, or a NYC repair shop that isn’t going to gouge? Other than that issue, it’s in perfect condition and works well. Thank you.

Dell Venue 11 Pro: Won't charge won't turn turn on, charger LED change intensity

Hello after 4month remaining unused (it was working last time it was powered off) my 5130 won’t charge/turn on anymore, the top right led never turns on the only thing that happen when i detach the charging cable from the tablet is that the charger (genuine DELL) LED lowers it’s intensity for 1sec than go back to normal intensity.

What i’ve tried:

-replacing main battery

-replacing micro USB power cord

-use the docking station to charge/turn it on

-deatach the CMOS battery for some mins

-keep power button pressed for over 30sec

-keep pressing power and volume/up down keys

It seems just dead… any suggestion?

Dell Venue 8 Pro: Need the pinout for battery 74XCR Li-polymer

Good afternoon everyone. Long story short, I have a tablet Dell Venue 8 pro 5830 that works very well, but it is not charging its battery anymore.

It seems that the charging circuit is not working, so, while I am in parallel trying to find someone who can fix the circuit, I decided to try to build a kind of external charger for its battery.

This tablet uses a Li-polymer battery 74XCR (attached picture) and I need to find out what the pinout is for the 12 pin connector.

I am trying to build a simple charging system with a TP4056, but I am having trouble to identify what combination of wires from the 12 pin connector must be connected to the TP4056.

Does someone know the pinout for this 74XCR battery?

Many thanks

Renato

Dell Windows Tablet: Dell Venue 8 Pro (5855) inverted y-axis touchscreen?

Hi! I had to replace the screen on my cracked Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 model. I bought used screen, installed it, everything works but the touchscreen is inverted on Y axis (left to right, if held in portrait mode).

I found that there were similar problems with previous generation of Venue 8 Pro tablets ( Dell Venue 8 Pro inverted x-axis touchscreen? ) and there is a special utility to reflash the digitizer controller. Since 5855 models have different chip controlling the digitizer it needs a different utility. Is there a chance to find that utility so I can fix this issue? So far I have tried two different digitizer controller boards MKY65 (my original) and NYFXW but they both do exactly the same - the touchscreen is inverted left to right. Also this is not a Windows driver issue nor Windows calibration because if I enter BIOS the touchscreen is already inverted.

I appreciate any help.
