Tried three different power adptors.

Light on power adptor but no when pressing power buttton.

Tried without battery and draining battery.

Have replace onboard small battery.

Do you think it is motherboard?

It used to work when the screen top was partially closed but now that trick doesn't even work. I have a brand new battery and I dumped the static, too.

It literally happened very quickly - ok one evening, and then next morning the damage appeared, although I promise you it was never dropped so don't quite know why it's suddenly happened.

Can the lid etc. be replaced and if so at what cost please.
