Except it gets stuck in a bootloop and the fans turn on and off if I restart the machine without the power plugged in. The moment the power is plugged in it can start just fine and works. I also tested the old original battery which doesn't have this problem, which means there is something wrong with the aftermarket battery (EC handshake) after starting on battery power only.
