I replace it with the new battery and it won't power on. The fans kick in for a bit but that's pretty much it. Any suggestions?

Here are some of them that happen:

  • The top eighth of the screen will have a strip of random colored pixels that go away when moving the mouse over them.
  • The display flickers black. This is accompanied by the audio stopping for a fraction of a second.
  • Mouse cursor shows twice with the second one frozen
  • The entire display is filled with lines. This only happened twice, and was fixed with a reboot.

The computer is still usable for now, and I usually get at least one of these things happening several times per hour of use.

Here are the things I have tried and did not fix it.

  • Fully deleting and reinstalling both the Nvidia and Intel graphics drivers.
  • Updating windows, bios, and graphics drivers
  • sfc scan and DISM restore

How can I fix this? Is it a hardware problem, or software?
