Dell PowerEdge R740: IDRAC says The inlet temperature sensor is not responding

Hi! I’ve been experiencing this error, and it’s becoming increasingly noticeable — especially since the fans are now running at full speed constantly.

I’ve asked around and heard two different explanations about the sensor location, but I haven’t been able to get a definitive answer. Is the temperature sensor located on the logic board, or is it part of the right ear assembly?

I’ve included my iDRAC information as well, in case there’s something I may have configured incorrectly that could be contributing to the issue.

Thanks!

Any help and advise is greatly appreciated

Dell PowerEdge R630: iDrac 8 Ethernet Port broken after pulled out by force by accident

Sooo, one of my ethernet cables got forced out by accident, and now, in the ethernet port, the cable can go in and out (not fully, the cable can't slip out), but it only works, when i push the eth cable all the way in... I think smthng got broke in my port, the cable is fine, i even tried with another cable... tried to look, if there are any different, from the working eth ports.. but i can't see a thing... What should i do or check ? It's soldered to the main board, so changeing it is probably the last option..
