<title><![CDATA[Dell OptiPlex 755: Why RAM is not supporting by my Dell optiplex pc?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I have Dell optiplex 990 with 4 GB of RAM. I bought more 4 GB to increase the RAM capacity. I bought same DDR3 RAM but after plugging in system won't start. With my old RAM its working but not working with new RAM. Just moving the fan and stops.</p>

<p>Shopkeeper has rechecked the new one RAM and that is working fine on other PC. What should i do?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Dell OptiPlex 755: Windows won’t start, startup repair cannot repair automatically.]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>First off, I have a Dell Optiplex 990 - Windows 7 Pro, which wasn’t listed...not a 775. Worked fine last night, no changes to hardware or software, shutdown normally without issues. Today, will not load windows.</p>

<p>Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically.</p>

<p>Tried to restore from previous known good restore point and Windows fails before I can get there.</p>

<p>Fails when attempting to boot in safe mode, with networking, and with command prompt.</p>

<p>I don’t have a disc as I bought the pc used, but I have a bootable Windows 7 Pro usb that I can boot from.</p>

<p>Tried rebuild boot command found in other threads, it says it finds 0 copies of Windows.</p>

<p>I could completely reload windows, but most foolishly my restore points are only in Windows. I have most or my important info backed up on external hard drive, but most foolishly, I don’t believe I have any restores backed up outside of the internal drive.</p>

<p>Hopefully there is a Windows wizard who can give me advice to work a little magic and give me the opportunity to save an off-site restore from now on. I have a lot of big programs I really would rather not have to spend the time reinstalling if possible.</p>
