Dell Latitude D630: A bit of a throttling predicament?

Hey all, I'm having the weirdest issue with my Dell Latitude D630. I can boot, with no temperature issues to Windows login, no slowdowns, totally normal. But, about 10 seconds after I login, it throttles to .3 GHz. I don't understand! I've reinstalled Windows, checked temps, everything. It's all fine on the login screen. I left login up for a while to see if it would begin throttling, and it never did. It only begins after I login. I am absolutely baffled, and help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Dell Latitude D630: It seems that the CMOS memory has been lost.

The internal CMOS battery got completely discharged and stayed like this for a long time. Since I do not use the regular battery anymore (did not replace the original battery), I think that after I disconnected the notebook from the AC charger for days the CMOS battery was lost. I have replaced the CMOS battery, but the notebook will not start. How could I solve this? Thank you.

Dell Latitude D630: How to scroll using the trackpad?

Hello everyone, I just purchased a Dell Latitude and I’ve been having some issues scrolling with the trackpad. Is it possible to two finger scroll on it. I know this laptop is from 2007 and might not have that ability, but I can’t seem to find any documentation on it. I’m also aware that it could possibly be a driver issue. Unfortunately I cannot install the driver because I am using Linux Mint and the driver requires Windows. So to recap I just want to know whether the two finger scroll is possible on this laptop and if it is and it’s not working should I get the trackpad replaced? It’s also been not responding, but it gets better as I install more updates, so I’m brushing it’s unresponsiveness as a software problem. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Dell Latitude D630: Bluetooth light blinking meaning?

I just installed a Bluetooth wireless card. When I boot into bios the card is detected and the Bluetooth light blinks on and off a few times then pauses for a few seconds then starts again. When I boot into Linux mint I get a Bluetooth icon in the toolbar, but when I click the Bluetooth configuration the progress bar freezes. The Bluetooth light is also off at this point. My question is what does the blinking light mean. I heard online that it was supposed to be a solid blue. Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
