Dell Latitude 7530: My 7530 laptop is not working after over power on the USB 5V

Hello

Sadly, I accidentally shorted the 5V power pin of the USB port to around 20V power, and the laptop turned off and will not turn on anymore. I hear hissing sound in the motherboard like there's a short circuit somewhere. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery but with not luck, also on the USB-C power it is the same.

I am willing to give up the USB port, and I was wondering if there's some protection components that can be replaced or should one expect a major chip failure.

Update (10/23/25)

I did try and traced the 5V rail and I found this IC overheating. I did remove it after a struggle but the short is still there..
