Dell Inspiron n5050: How do I reboot my Dell Inspiron N5050 laptop without the reboot disk?

I turned on my computer this morning and it didn't go to the same screen. I really can't explain it. My screen read, "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". I've Googled the situation, and it says to hit F8 several times before my Dell screen comes on. I've done that several times and it hasn't helped at all. I don't have the disk that reboots my laptop, and I just bought this laptop three days ago. Can somebody out there please give me some simple directions on how to fix this? Thank you in advance.

Dell Inspiron n5050: How to Recover from breaking a keyboard Ribbon to MB Connector?

I have a Dell inspirion Laptop. I opened the case to change the 500 gig HHD and replace with a 1 TB Hybrid Drive. To do so required the removal of the keyboard ribbon.
Dell Inspiron n5050: The laptop (Dell Inspiron n5050) is dead

Hi,

I've been off and kept the warm laptop in the bag (definitely a mistake) for few days. When I came back from holidays, my laptop wouldn't power on. I can't see the power LED glowing despite plugging power cable. The pressing the start-up for 30 sec doesn't work. I've taken out batteries and added back again but no luck. The laptop is complete dead.

I've replaced the power cable. The online research show it might be the battery issue, but I've seen many laptops running on the power cable when the battery is damaged.

What can be an issue? Shall I replace a battery?

Please help, my laptop is full of important document and photos.

Dell Inspiron n5050: Why won't my N5050 power up?

A few months ago I was using my laptop for art projects when suddenly it shutoff and hasn't run since. I get no response from the power button. I know the battery is not the issue, as the computer stayed plugged up all the time up til that point. I really hope it's not the hard drive, as I'd hate to think that I've lost all my art projects.

Note: I have asked this question somewhere else and one person seemed to think that the main board might have gone bad. Which I'm going guess that they were referring to the mother board. Since Googling main board gives results for mother board instead. Still, I could use a second opinion on the matter before I decide what to do.
