Dell Inspiron 15R (N5010): N5010 - 8 beeps. Screen won't turn on

Hello.

I've had my N5010 for almost 3 years now, and lately I've come across some problems, which peaked with the last one - dead monitor apparntly.

It started with overheating problems sometime ago, then 2-3 weeks ago whenever I turned on the laptop it wouln't boot or show anything, meaning it would turn on, the lights were on but there were no beeps of signs of boot or any display (well, screen backlight was actually going on but it was still dark), What I did whenever that happend was letting the battery dry out and then would plug it to the power supply and turn it on, usually worked.

Then, about a week ago, it stopped working all together - whenever I turn it on, the screen stays black and after a few seconds the laptop starts to beep 8 times over and over again until I shut it down. I've read online that 8 beeps means there's a problem with my screen or something like that.

I've tried connecting it to an external monitor yesterday and it does work.

What are my options? My warranty runs out in about 2-3 weeks - thing is, my keyboard broke couple of months ago and I replaced it at my own expanse in a private shop - does it void the warranty? and does the warranty covers this at all? I just don't want to send it all the way to the lab when there's a possibility they won't even fix it either because warranty doesn't cover it or because warranty was voided...

Thanks in advanced! :)

Dell Inspiron 15R (N5010): My laptop cannot get started.

My Dell inspiration N 5010 just cannot get started. When I plugged in the power and press the start key, nothing happened, no reactions at all. No sound. Then I took out the battery and plug in the source cable again, still nothing at all. I notice that when connected to the power source, the light on the adapter was on. But as soon as plugged into the laptop, it went off immediately. I also tried other adapter but the very same thing happened. My question is what was wrong with my laptop，and how I can fix it myself. Someone says it has something to do with the mother board but I am not sure. Please help me with this issue. Thank you.

Dell Inspiron 15R (N5010): Laptop crashed, multiple beeping sounds and black screen

Hello,

I was using my laptop today and it suddenly crashed. I was only using opera (not watching anything) and spotify. Recently I had problems with it overheating, but I sorted it out and I monitored it everyday after that, and the temperature didn't go over 60 C degrees. So I'm pretty sure that wasn't the problem. First when I tried to turn it back on, the screen lit but there was nothing on it and there was a beeping sound, which repeated for 8 times (as in 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1). I researched it online and tried pressing the D key on startup that brings those colours on and then supposedly fixes it. The colours came but nothing after that. I tried turning it off and on again and this time the screen didn't lit up at all, it was plain black and I've heard the beep repeated 7 times. I tried holding the Fn key while starting it up, tried turning it on while on charger and without it, tried without the battery. I also tried taking the battery out and pressing the power button for about 60seconds, and then putting the battery back in and turning it on. Moreover, I tried connecting the HDMI to tv to see if it's only the screen and if it'd work on tv. Nothing. Anyone has any ideas??

Dell Inspiron n5110: Laptop Power Fails Whenever GeForce GT 525 starts to heat up

My Laptop Specs are as follows;

GPU: GeForce GT 525M

CPU: Intel Core i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz

Memory: 4.00 GB

Microsoft Windows 7

The problem is a few days ago my Laptop fell from my bed on to the floor. Although there is no apparent damage to the machine, now every time I run any game the GPU fan start to seed up as usual and when GPU reaches its peak the Laptop power fails. It does not shutdowns, the Laptop just turns off like some one pulls a plug on a desktop PC.

I disassembled the whole machine to check if any part had slipped from its place due to the fall but none. And while it was open I also dusted off and cleaned the board. Reassembled the machine and ran it again. But same, it keeps on working for hours without any problem as long as you don't run a Video Game.
