<p>I whant to fix it but I don´t know if is a faulty LCD or the cable. I´m afraid of buying the LCD and the problem is the video cable.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Dell inspiron 5558: How to diagnose a failing component on a motherboard?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Dear all,</p>

<p>Recently I inherited this laptop. The problem is that when I boot it on, there are two beeps on loop and the laptop didn’t boot on. According to the Dell website, those beeps mean that there is no ram installed. I tried with some different RAM sticks among the other RAM slots, but there is always two beeps no matter what, so I imagine that the problem is on the motherboard.</p>

<p>I have a multimeter at home, but I have no clue how to diagnose the motherboard to find the component that is failing.</p>

<p>Can anyone give me some advice?</p>
