Pretty straight forward history - speakers worked okay. One day I used closed laptop as a trivet for hot pot of oatmeal. Speakers still work but with huge crackling distortion.

Dell Inspiron 3542: SSD/HDD optical drive caddy removal

So I wanted to get some more storage space and add another ssd. I decided to install it in place of dvd drive in a caddy. Sadly my pc can't see the ssd, not even in disk manager. I thought maybe the ssd isnt plugged in tightly enough as I never done it before, so I decided to remove it and try mounting again. But my problem is - I don't know how to remove it? I cant just eject it like actual optical drive - or can I? Also when it comes to attaching ssd to a caddy - should it click, should I use some force? I think it's mainly screws that keep it together. Last thing - if that idea doesn't help, what else could the problem be? I think the caddy is same size as my dvd drive, but not 100% sure

Hi, I have a Dell laptop such as model number Inspiron 3542. One day, the laptop's display is suddenly white color half of the top screen. First look like the vertical line is seen and it has become white in 2 minutes. Since then, the upper half of my laptop is white.

Please give me a solution. How can I fixed the problem? Here I gave two pictures for some information.

My laptop power button stopped working and after some week , when i tried to open it by pressing power button. It doesn't open , when i plugged in Charger than it gets opened sometimes I have to remove battery and than plugin charger than it gets opened (WITHOUT THE USE OF POWER BUTTON) .

Manytimes it gets opened by doing plugin - plugg out ; i had to remove battery many times than, i had to plugg-in and plugg-out many times afterwards it gets opened .
