Dell Inspiron 3520: turns on but screen doesn't start

I hope yall can help me with this, i'm a little desesperate about it. So here's the thing:

I just installed windows 10 on my laptop, everything was fine. I shutted off the pc and then turned it on, but nothing happened. It was only a black screen. Power lights turned on as usual but nothing happened with the other ones: wifi, hard drive. After doing it several times os charged but just like after a minute with the black screen and trying a lot.

I tried to turned on and off again several times but the result was the same. I even tried reinstalling windows, but this time i used windows 8, but the problem stayed the same. I kept doing the turnin off and on thing but then three short beeps started. I took it to some friend of mine and he restarted the bios but the first problem stayed the same.

I researched in some forums and found out that it could be a problem with the mother board but i'm not sure at all. I wish it's not that. Anyway, please, help me :(

Dell Inspiron 3520: Some keyboard keys work and stop randomly

Hello,

I have a newer model on Dell Inspiron 3520 (purchased in 2023), and several keys stopped working:

keys: Z, X, C, V, M, , , ., Enter, 5, 6

Sometimes they worked if I start continuously pressing that key hard or didn’t move the laptop, but now they almost never work.

There has never been any water damage on the laptop.

In the BIOS diagnostic test, these keys also fail (so I believe it’s definitely not a Windows/Linux driver issue).

If the keys stop responding completely, I sometimes have to do a kind of “ritual”: pressing Z, X, C, etc. (that whole line) hard, several times in a row. After that, they may start working again for a while , but not properly.

After a restart, they occasionally come back for a short time, but the problem always returns.

I’ve never seen a keyboard problem behave like this. If the keyboard trace was physically broken, I would expect the keys to stop working completely but here they randomly start and stop working.

Before I replace the entire keyboard, I’d like to pinpoint the exact cause and be sure I’ve tried everything (I also want to avoid adding unnecessary e-waste).

Dell Inspiron 3520: Why doesn't my audio work?

I'm not sure if the audio is bad on the computer or it's something else.

I have a brand new Inspiron 15 3520 (Purchased 12/2024). The only thing that I've done is open the system and disconnect the battery and replace the stock NVME with a Crucial 2TB NVME drive. I locked down the NVME, reconnected the battery and started her up.

My install appears to have gone fine, just a stock Win11 ISO (from MS), I went to the Dell site and downloaded all the drivers and I don't have any audio. I tried with Windows 10 Pro and got the same thing.

I checked the speaker connector on the motherboard and it seems fine. I disconnected and reconnect it with no difference.

Dell Inspiron 3520: Wifi problems after bios update

Hello.

I have a dell 3520: 6GB ram, 1TB hard drive, intel i5. A few months ago I had to update my bios... The problem became after I did it: At the very moment I started having issues with my wifi like it drops when I close the lid, and whenever I wake up the computer after it would take a looooooong time to wifi to start working, and actually, drivers disc won't detect the wifi card anymore. Moreover, the bluetooth doesn't work anymore. It doesn't shows up at all as installed in the devide manager.

I've been wondering if updating bios had something to do with it... So, I had thought to downgrade it to the previous version but then I came to find out that it is almost impossible (because I tried it and it was). So, any solutions to these?

Dell Inspiron 3520: Why won't it boot?

Ok so I was just going about my business paying some World of Warcraft when out of no where I got an error window then my laptop crashed and won't boot. I couldn't see what error because it crashed before I could get a good look.. but it was one of the 0xc00000XX errors. I unplugged all usb devices took out the battery and ac adapter then held the power down for about 1 minute then plugged only the ac adapter in and it powers up with no display and I did try hooking up external monitors at both AVG and HDMI ports. I've also done all that but changed the ram with my other laptops ram and then turned it on but still have the same issue. the fan also starts up on high and my laptop gets pretty hot.

Edit: I can get into the BIOS by holding shift down and power button down for about 5 seconds. out of the BIOS I still have the same problem.

Edit 2: I ran a diagnostic on it through BIOS menu and it said everything was perfectly fine. after that I still had the issues but I had kept messing with it turning it on and off and it's booting up properly now. If it does it again I'll screen shot and post more details.
