Dell Inspiron 15 3567: I need to replace my wifi adapter

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3567 with a Qualcomm QCA61x4A/QCA9377 Wifi Card. After a year of the laptop's purchase, suddenly the wifi and bluetooth stopped working and there was a burning smell coming out of the exhaust vent. I opened the back panel of my laptop and got to know that the wifi adapter was overheating. So I want to get an upgrade to an Intel wifi adapter because they are more reliable than the Qualcomm adapters . It would be really appreciated if anybody could help.

Dell Inspiron 15 3567: I hibernated my Inspiron and now it does not power back on

Hi All,

My Dell Inspiron is a fairly vanilla one with one exception that I replaced the factory provided hard drive with a WD Blue SSD. It had worked flawlessly since almost 6 months. But, this last time, instead of turning it off, I hibernated it and now it is plain dead. The laptop does not show any power even with battery and power adapter attached and it simply fails to show any life.

Not sure what has broken inside it and I even tried removing the battery and help the power button for a few seconds to drain the components of power as was suggested on a few blocks but to no avail.

If you have any idea on what I can do, please let me know. I am pretty sure there is nothing that could have short the motherboard but I could be wrong.

Dell Inspiron 15 3567: Dell Inspiron 15-3567 How to get inside

How do open this up ? I'm used to to getting inside desktop machines, not laptops.. But need to replace failing 1TB spinning HDD with SSD i'm gonna order.

Following this article: Dell Inspiron 15-3567 Fan Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide

Do you really need to remove optical drive ? as it looks like the screws in the image are just holding the metal tray itself, not securing the bottom case at all.

In any case i cannot get access to this part,.. I removed the battery, but them i don't know what to do in order to popup the optical drive, (if needed)

Removed the 8 screws from the bottom casing + screw relating to optical drive in the middle., and i'm guess all i need to really to is remove the screws underneath keyboard. but the only snag is optical drive,, can this be left alone?

Dell Inspiron 15 3567: Which wifi cards are compatible with this machine?

My machine cannot get high-speed internet, likely because of the wifi card it came with: Qualcomm QCA9565 802.11b/g/n, it only supports 2.4Ghz. I’d like to upgrade to a 802.11ac but I want to make sure I buy the right card. Any recommendations? Everything I see online says I have 2 antennas.

Dell Inspiron 15 3567: Is there any way to use this laptop without the internal LCD?

Good night,
I've had several issues with this laptop, but one I couldn't fix due to local availability of parts was when I accidentally broke the LCD cable (while trying to fix another issue, which I managed to fix successfully).
I could find a cheap replacement, but well, it was a cheap replacement: it worked for a while but then it burnt together with the display.

But honestly, I never really wanted to get this cable: I wanted to use it headlessly before I bought the third party replacement I mentioned earlier.
But something I noticed is that the laptop shuts down after 15s~ or so if the internal display is disconnected. This is extremely annoying, as the laptop does POST and I can access (& mess around with) the BIOS setup just fine. I can even boot into SupportAssist and do stuff there (as I don't have any OS installed in my drive at the moment) after connecting an external display.

Is there any way to disable this check for the internal display? I've tried to look for both software and hardware (as in like shorting certain pins) solutions, but couldn't find any. The best thing I could find, for another Dell laptop was to bring the display controller internally. I can see the logic behind this, but I cannot do that as I don't have any working LCD cable.
I have a feeling this has to be possible, as this is clearly an artificial limit (which I have a feeling would have been really annoying during internal development at Dell), but I'm not really sure of how to go about this.
Thank you.
