Dell Inspiron 15R 5537: Touchscreen not working but display still working normally

Hi! I have a Inspiron 15R with touchscreen. About an year ago it stopped working. Sometimes it still gets to answer my touch but 99,9% of the time is does not show any response. Please, does anybody know anything about this issue? I wanted to attempt to reseat the display cables and see if I get the touchscreen back. Display works normally as ever. I have an Ubuntu 20.04 and have tried older and new versions to be sure it wasn't a driver issue. Thanks for reading my question. Fábio

Dell Inspiron 15R 5537: Integrated laptop cam stopped working but still recognized

My Inspiron 15R (touchscreen model)'s integrated webcam stopped working a couple of months ago. If I press the bevel sides of the display mounting I can get some softwares to make it work again, like MS Team. A lsusb CLI command show it is detected (Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0c45:64ad Microdia) by the OS (Ubuntu 20.04) and I have tried several new and old Ubuntu versions to try to determined if it is a driver issue - it seems not to be such. I wonder if there is a cable to be reseated that might get it working regularly again. Please, does anybody here have any idea about how to fix it? Thanks and best regards, Fábio

Hi all,

Now I have.. pulled battery disconnecting ac and held down power for 30+ seconds , plugged in ac adapter w/out battery and held power button down for 15+ seconds, it shows a green led on ac adapter too, tried other known working ac adapter, no go; with or without battery the only sign of life is front power led that comes on every time. I have to pull battery an ac adapter to turn off, holding power button no matter how long doesn't work. there is no fan, no post beeps, no video... just black screen this just happened between shut down and start up next day. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 with an I3 and 6 Gb ram one 2 Gb and one 4 Gb, all the specs match the support web site as to service tag .. I'm outta ideas and warranty, . any help?
