Dell Inspiron 15R 5520: Seven beeps when turned on, but sometimes starts properly

I have a Dell Inspiron 15R 5520 Laptop. I'm getting the seven beeps upon turning it on. However, sometimes it turns on and runs normally.

I've replaced the thermal compound and still am experiencing the same problems. I also removed the BIOS battery and reinstalled it.

When it starts normally that I can access the diagnostics, everything comes back fine.

I'm stumped as to what to try next, since I'm not sure what the problem is exactly.

Any suggestions/help? Thanks!

At first i thought it was the outlets in my apartment, but someone mentioned it could possibly be the adapter cord. so i went to the store and bought a new adapter cord and it still wont charge. Does this mean something is wrong with the battery cell itself? If so is there a way to fix the battery cell?

I found my laptop set in a closet, I got my desktop a year or more ago and haven't been using my laptop at all, so I decided to start using it back again, so I used it properly for about a week after that whenever I was using it the screen froze and it produced a high pitch beep, and now it has gotten to the point that it doesn't starts up. Help if there is anything to be done to save it I would highly appreciate it

We got a new battery for my dell Inspiron. When I installed it and plugged in my charger cord, the cord went out, and the laptop shut down. Now it won’t power on at all. I have tried removing the battery, and plugging in the power cord, that doesn’t work. Suggestions?

Dell Inspiron 15R 5520: Charger and battery strange behaviour

Hi there. I got an 5520 with strange power issues. Here is the story. Had a faulty charger, and i replaced it withh an third party charger. Everything was fine but sometimes it wouldnt find the charger, or it would find the charger but not charge the battery. So i replaced the charger with an original one. When the laptop is off for a while, and i plug the charger, everything is fine (charger light is ok, battery charges fine). But if i unplug the charger and plug it again, charger light goes off, and laptop refuses to be powered. It turns on but with the battery. If i plug the third-party charger (new one) it works fine. I noticed that it works with all charger if the battery is not present. Summary (as i see it in diagnostics):

Original charger: recognized for a moment as 255w charger and then as an 90w charger and works fine. If it is unplugged and pluged again, charger light goes off and it is not recognized until laptop gets powered off and stays for a while

OEM charger (new): recognized for a moment as 255w charger and then as an 90w and works fine. If it is unpluged and pluged again, it works just fine

OEM charger (first one): Worked good (as the OEM new) for a week or so and then behaved as the Original

Battery is almost new and passed numerous diagnostic tests

Seems like a capacitor issue between charging and battery circuit?

Dell Inspiron 15R 5520: Broken Headphone jack. Is it fixable>

Long story short, I broke my headphone jack on my Dell Inspiron 5520 a while ago and today was the last straw. Is it possible to replace the entire jack without doing and soldering? Here's the part and I dont know if it just sits in place or if it requires soldering.

The laptop just keeps showing a black screen . even when i hold the power button and try to on it . when i plug in the charger and then try , its still blank but with a slight beeping sound which is continuous and keeps fading and coming back again and again repeatedly nothing else .

I tried to turn on my laptop couple of times yesterday but it wont start at all.

I tried pressing power button but still no response. I even tried removing the battery, and then press power button for resetting the RAM still it wont start at all.

Kindly let me know any solution or fixes because my laptop didn't had any issue and it was off for pretty long time maybe that could have caused some issue as it wasn't operated for 5-6 months.
