Dell Inspiron 1545: How do I bypass the password authentification system?

When i turn the computer on, it says "this computer system is protected by a password authentification system . You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password". I did NOT put this on here! How could this have happened, and how do i get oast it so i can use my own computer again? Please help!

Hello, whenever I try booting in the fan spins for a few seconds and then it stops. There is no input on the LCD. So I tried it with an external monitor. Still no luck.

Whenever a put in a CD or DVD into my computer it does not read the disk. It makes a whirling sound like it is starting to read the disk but after a few seconds stops and does nothing.

Dell Inspiron 1545: Buzzing sound from LCD + backlight failure

Hi.

A buzzing sound is heard from the LCD of my laptop, which is a Dell Inspiron 1545. Its intensity changes when I increase the brightness. In addition to that, backlight fails when I increase the brightness (there is picture but no light) and I can use it only if the brightness is at the lowest. As far as I know, the latter indicates CCFL inverter failure. I opened it to investigate the noise and found out that the noise is coming from the LCD itself not the inverter. The noise is negligible and my main problem is the backlight.

Which one do you think is causing the backlight failure?

Does changing the inverter solve the brightness problem?

when i switch on the laptop after a couple of days then it works fine for about 15-20 minutes, after that it shutdowns. when i again switch on the laptop it again shutdowns during booting within 15-20 seconds, and continues to shut down again and again.. It only works fine for 15-20 minutes, when it switch it on after quite a time.

anyone, please help, as my that laptop has became completely useless.

Dell Inspiron 1545: Some portion of motherboard is overheating

When the battery was inserted then the portion 2 inches below the f1 fuse was overheated but when i plug in the power then there was short circuit two inches away from the right side of touchpad and smoke came out...

I have an Inspiron 1545 with its original HDD drive and I want to replace it by a new SSD unit. The main problem is that the original HDD has a height of 9.5 mm and the newest SSD units (like the Samsung 840 Evo) has a height of 7 mm. I know for several post in the web that the solution is to buy and attach an "SSD Spacer" to the disk. This piece of plastic ensures that the SSD will be recognized by the Laptop BIOS, but the problem is there is not a step by step guide that shows how to do it in the right way.
