Dell Inspiron 1545: How do I bypass the password authentification system?

When i turn the computer on, it says "this computer system is protected by a password authentification system . You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password". I did NOT put this on here! How could this have happened, and how do i get oast it so i can use my own computer again? Please help!

Hello, whenever I try booting in the fan spins for a few seconds and then it stops. There is no input on the LCD. So I tried it with an external monitor. Still no luck.

When I power it on I can hear that it loaded to the desktop with no problem but I can't see anything. If I plug it into an external monitor it works, but for what I use the computer for that's not really an option.

Dell Inspiron 1525: Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop won't charge the battery

I just bought a brand new battery for this laptop, it came with 53% battery life and because it has been plugged in it hasn't dropped a percentage but will not charge. it says in the battery info that it's plugged in but not charging

does anybody know why?

Dell Inspiron 1525: laptop says plugged in but not charging.

This problem started 3 months ago, all I had to do was unplug it and then plug it back in and it would charge fine. Now nothing works it just says "pluged in (not charging)" now.

Dell Inspiron 1526: Inspiron 1526 - Bad motherboards galore

I picked up a dell inspiron 1526 locally to tinker with and it seems to power on somewhat but the leds are not correct and the dvd drive will not even eject. The fans spin and the wifi led flashes orange / blue. From the research i have dones there seems to have been a ton of problems with the motherboard . Has anyone had experience with this particular unit? I hope to maybe be able to repair ir if it was bad caps or bad solder joints or something instead of just parting it out. Also i love this site but is there any other online community of laptop repair people - like i see guys advertising logicboard repairs and services other than just part swapping and i would like to learn more about this myself

Dell Inspiron 1525 does not see the cd/dvd drive. I can open the drive, but when closed, the drive light flashes several times and nothing happens.

Dell Inspiron 1501: phoenix bios password no resetting

I like to work on old laptops, so I have a dell inspiron 1501 , it wonrt boot windows so im trying to go to phoenixbios setup utility but it says enter password when I enter 3 wrong passwords it says “09252” I look up online for answers and follow a instruction to remove the bios battery for 15-30 minutes then put it back in I did this twice bu the bios password is still there , also i unplugged and removed the main battery before i followed these instructions

Dell Inspiron 1525: Hard Drive not detected!

I currently have an 80 GB sata hard drive and I bought an Hitachi 320 Gb sata drive to upgrade it with, but the laptop doesn't detect the drive, not even in the bios! It's brand new, and if I connect it using a USB adaptor, the drive shows up on my computer. The Bios has been updated to the current version. I'm at a loss, please help!

Dell Inspiron 1525: Got an error of 2000-0146 Need help

I was trying to boot up my comp the other day and got an error saying that it couldn't read file correctly and needed reboot. After I rebooted I ran the diagnostics and got an error of 2000-0146 on the HDD. I was hoping for help in recovering this at least long enough to get my files off without having to replace the HDD. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Whenever a put in a CD or DVD into my computer it does not read the disk. It makes a whirling sound like it is starting to read the disk but after a few seconds stops and does nothing.

I have a 250GB western Digital Internal HDD in my Laptop. Due to unknown reason the HDD is not working at all. It is not even detected when tried to connected with any system. The HDD contains lots of important data which need to be recovered.
