Dell E193FPc: screen goes black after 1 second

Hi,

My Dell E193FP Monitor goes black after about 1 second after I switch it on. This applies for when I use the "on" button, plug it into the PC, change screen resolution in display settings, etc. It always just shows a picture for 1 second and then goes completely black. The picture I see for 1 second is good and there seems to be no damages in the picture.

Now I'm thinking, if I can get a picture for 1 second, can the screen be repaired?

Cheers,

Christian

Dell E193FPc: Screen and start button blicking

Hello there,

As the title explains it, my screen is blinking (no color) every second with the start button too.

I opened my screen to see what’s going on compared to the other posts here : No bad capacitor, I just ear a buzzing sound near the board.

Do you have any ideas ?

Thanks !

Dell E193FPc: Display darked out in 1 second

My Dell has very similar board layout as this one. It display for about 1 second after each power on and then darked out. Power off and on again give me another second but that's is. I shine a strong light on the screen in the hope that I can see a shadow of the display but nothing. With help from this site, I tear down the case but not able to troubleshoot because of my limited knowledge.

With the power supply board alone (not connect to any other board), tested it and all +5V and +12V output are ok and very stable. Found a pin labled "on/off along the DC out to the controller board (i.e. the one with the VGA port). But no matter I connect ground or +5V to it, the inverter still has nothing out.

Can anybody give me an idea how I can troubleshoot the problem? Thanks in advance.
