DBPOWER T20: Brown smudge/spot on the projection image about 1/6th of total picture

I have a DB T20 that is projecting a brown smudge/ spot on the screen. It looks like it’s on the lcd if I look through the front lens. I know can see the lens is fine. What could it be? Is it worth opening it to take a look? Also it makes a buzzing sound like a fan sticking for first minute on power up then works fine.

Update (01/13/2021)

Ok So there is a SOLUTION. If you want to fix your little projector you need to order the part below or one of the same dimensions. This part is a little bit thicker than the stock one but if you carefully press it in or widen the side guides a little bit it will fit and work perfectly. I ordered two so I would have a back up. It did take over a month for the part to come. I wrote it off because they never sent an email to say it had shipped, but eventually it did show up. That's ordering Chinese parts for you. Good Luck! Haribol

DBPOWER T20: Does anyone have the remote control and a way to share its IR codes?

I, and many others no doubt, would be extremely grateful if someone would provide the remote control IR codes here. I’ve been getting the runaround now for over a week trying to get a replacement remote…..

Would/could anyone provide the protocol/device/subdevice/function codes from a program like IrScrutinizer or the IR signals themselves in any format (raw, pronto hex etc.)?

The other question thread looking for a replacement remote was suggested to try the one generic “projector” universal remote out there even though it is overpriced and their documentation does not list that they support the DBPower brand devices. Another website suggested that the LG projector codes were the same as the DBPower codes, but I have tried all the LG Projector IR code sets I can find to no avail.

Any and all help greatly appreciated!

DBPOWER RD-810: Need help identifying COB LED component on DBPOWER RD-810 Projector

Hello,

I have the upgraded model of the Dbpower RD-810 projector. This one is advertised 3500 lumens. However, it quit working. The two wires to the COB do test at 12vdc. However, the COB will not illuminate.

After removing the COB and heat sink from their unit (de-soldered at the motherboard) I applied 12vdc to the wires - nothing. There's a little silver component that I've yet to identify. Has the markings ‘KAVASS BW-80B' - that seems to not exist on the internet.

Can anyone identify what this is, and/or recommend a suitable replacement?
