It does not appear that anyone is responding these inquiries with solutions. What is apparent, is that Cuisinart Customer Support is non existent here, and at their 800# to help their customers.

I am having the same issues as these posts, but do not see any response that addresses the issue directly:

My unit will turn (on/off light is on) & fails to brew. Carafe is properly aligned. Nothing happens. Needs no cleaning.

The machine has power but is not breweing. The blue brew light comes on then nothing happens. The carafe is aligned.

Cuisinart DCC-3400: Buttons have all stopped working

Device worked great for 2 years. Then yesterday the clean light came on. So we did the cleaning and completed the cleaning cycle. But today the clock is on (has power) but none of the buttons are working (brew, program, time change).

How can I take the top lid off, please? There are parts of it that can't be reached by the smallest brush. It would be nice to be able to get the top off without breaking anything so that it, and what's under it, could be properly cleaned. Thanks!

Cuisinart Coffee Maker: Piece and spring fell out of filter holder

I mistakenly put fresh coffee grounds in the holder without filter. When installing the filter holder basket back into the machine after cleaning, a "mushroom" piece and spring fell out of the machine. I assume this controls the flow of brewed coffee into the carafe. I tried to figure out how to reassemble, to no avail. Please help!

Cuisinart DGB-650: GRINDER unit suddenly quit working overnight as if no power

Normally when pressing ONLY POWER button, grinder works. One morning it stopped working. When pressing POWER, there is only a faint “tick” sound. I can physically rotate grinder shaft from top of unit (with a little effort, but it does rotate). I read somewhere possible stuck switch or ?short? somewhere. My partner has this coffee maker and was complaining about the buildup in the cracks and crevices.

I used the clean function with vinegar, like recommended, but the buildup is bad enough that a little elbow grease is needed, pic below.

Why the hell is is so difficult to open?
