Crosley CR704: CD player broken solutions aren’t working

So I put the CD in and it thinks then displays the number of songs. Sometimes when I press play the light lights up but only after pressing it several times and pressing skip so the display says it’s on the first track. Then it thinks for a second and the disk sounds like it is turning and then the displays says “E” and I’m not sure what to do after that. I don’t think it could get dust in it so I don’t think that’s the problem.

Crosley CR704: Turntable slows down then back up to speed.

My record player turntable slows down and then goes back up to speed. It started doing this after our cat (we think) knocked the arm off its rest which caused the turntable to constantly run for a couple days before we noticed. Now when we play an album it slows down, speeds back up and sounds warbled. Dont know if it is the platter motor or the belt. Which do you think it is?

Crosley CR704: The disk drive doesnt open and makes noise

The disk drive on my crosley cr704 wont open. When I change it to the CD mode, the display lights up with the two - - and makes a noise like the motor is trying to work or something. I push the open/close button and it just changes the noise like the disk drive is going in the other direction but not moving. I tried holding the open/close button in hopes it might change the outcome but nothing works. Are there replacement parts to make the disk drive work or maybe a replacement drive I could install? or am I possibly missing something?

Crosley CR704: Power button not working

The power had been getting flaky, then it quit working altogether. When I removed the front panel, I found a black wire near the power button that wasn't connected. It doesn't have any solder on it so I don't know if it was ever correctly connected. Where does this wire go?

When I checked the power button with an ohmmeter, the contacts close when pushed in. Without opening the whole unit, I don't know where to check voltage from. What voltage is on this button? If I touch the contacts with the red and white wires, the unit comes on. Any assistance would be appreciated.
