Compaq Presario CQ57: Computer will turn on, screen won't.

My computer will turn on, and it'll give me a couple seconds to go to the start up menu, but beyond that the computer screen stays blank. When I try the options on the start up menu it will just turn the computer screen blank. I've tried the removing battery and holding the power button. But that hasn't changed anything. I don't have the material to connect to another screen, let alone know how to do so.

My friend thinks it has something to do with a virus. I gave her my computer to try to fix and she said she found 9 trojans and several other minor viruses. It's a used computer and I can't afford a new one.

Any help is appreciated.

Compaq Presario CQ57: How do you switch WIFI on/off

I have the wifi keyboard light showing red, ie wifi is off. I have tried to switch it on from Windows 10 settings to no avail. I cannot find an external switch (but have never switched it off deliberately).

Is there some key combination needed?

I have removed and re-inserted the wifi module, but no success.

Compaq Presario CQ57: My CD/DVD drive just arbitrarily stopped working

This laptop is just a little over 3 years old - CD/DVD was working great then one day it just stopped playing CD/DVDs. When I go into the F drive, it says there is no CD/DVD ??

I've tried Microsoft 'FixIt' which did nothing and I also uninstalled/reinstalled the it , leaving the drivers then let the system find and reinstall.

Any ideas??

I've looked everywhere and am stumped :'(

Everytime I turn on my laptop, I get a blue screen asking for Administrator Password or Power On Password. I can't do anything and I don't have the password. I can't even get into safe mode anymore. If I put in wrong password 3 times it says System Disabled. I want to take my .45 to it right now. I'm beyond frustrated. PLEASE HELP!
