Krups F203: How do I remove the blades? (Can't pull them off!)

Hi,

My grinder is not similar to the ones in the instructions. It's the same model, but it looks different inside. The blades are fasten with something that looks like a plastic nut on top. I´ve tried pulling on the blades, but it doesen´t seem to work. I´ve also tried to undo the nut, my tools are causing damage to the nut.

Do anyone know if this is a nut, or pulling harder is the solution? And if so, do anyone know if it is a right or left threaded nut (normal or lynx)?

My problem with the grinder is that the blades wont turn. The motor is working, but of some reason, either the rotor in the motor or the blade assy is stuck.

Thanks!

Krups F203: motor works but blades only spin if grinder is unloaded

The machine seems as if it's working with no load or with very small amount, but as soon as I put in a normal amount of material to be ground then the blades do not turn. It's like whatever connects the blades to the spinning shaft has failed or does not engage properly. Also how do I get the blades off?

Capresso Infinity: Repairing Burnt out Motor (Kitchen Appliance): Burr Coffee Grinder

Hello,

I think I've "burnt out the motor," or whatever the technical term is, on my burr coffee grinder, by plugging it in to a 240v plug.

Is the solution replacing the motor, the wiring, or what? I assume many appliances operate the same when having and issue like this, so any advice from similar kitchen appliances are welcome!

Thank you for your time!

Capresso Infinity: I can't adjust coarseness after reassembling the bottom burr

I removed the bottom burr of my capresso infinity for cleaning, and ever since reassembly it has been grinding coffee on only the finest setting, even when the dot is twisted to the coaresest setting.
Krups F203: Information: Ancient Model Base

This is just an informational comment. My GF has been using this grinder daily since about 1980, and it has never been maintained. I suspect that the "0602" is probably the serial number, so it would be almost the oldest that you'll find.

I saw comments saying to remove 4 screws or clips, or remove the paper label to expose the slot in the bottom of the shaft. They don't all necessarily have those.

It does have what looks like two #2 Phillips screws retaining the base. They have about 40 years of rust on them, but it looks like that's all that retains the base.

So depending on the vintage of your grinder, the parts may not be exactly the same. Luckily, these devices are simple, with little more than the motor, blade, switch, and body. You may just need to do a little more work to figure out how yours comes apart.

I only came looking to see what I'm getting myself into before I break something. I kind of assumed that the blade was pressed on, rather than screwed on. I'm glad I looked, before I broke it, trying to pull the blade. :)
