Coby DVD209: Why isn't DVD playing now, but was fine last night?

My DVD player worked fine last night, and when she went to finish watching a movie this morning, it will not work...

I moved the carriage back and forth and I see the red laser working. I also cleaned that gently with isopropyl alcohol, and still not playing.

I tried multiple disc to no avail, although two out of at least 10 I tried, the beginning of the DVD did show...(but it was just the PSA message warning against copy /pirating ) and then was just blackness after but the disc was still spinning. Any other (try and ) 'fix it' suggestions...???
