Chrysler 200: ECM replacemnt, what to do afterwards

So I’ve ordered a “plug and play” ECM my mechanic told me I needed to take it to the dealer but the dodge dealership around here is terrible and I’m going to an automotive school. I called the dealer to find the part number and it’s been shipped from a good website I got it programmed to my VIN and it’s the correct ECM but I want to replace it myself for the learning experience and for the money ha, I just want to know how important it is to use a scanner afterwards to check for any codes that didn’t connect and what codes might pop up. Could I do this in my driveway or should I take it to my mechanics class and get my teacher to help (using the scanner at school) This Chrysler 200 is a 2013 and I just want to say I’m still able to drive my car with a faulty ecm I’m not sure how but that’s what makes me think it’s not completely failed yet but it could fail on me at any moment which makes me nervous.

Chrysler 200: ECM connector locking mechanism doesn’t work. Can I manually unlock it

I’m replacing a plug n play ECM and I’ve gotten as far as the first connector but this second connector it’s like when I unlock it instead of unlocking the whole connecter only the cover panel for the wires to it come off. I can see where the locking lever pushes ridges and unlocks it, should I just use a flathead and keep trying to manually unlock it? This is a DIY project but if I need to just stop and get my automotive teacher to help that’s fine.

Chrysler 200: chrysler 200S: off-center metallic rotation noise in D or N

It seems to be faster as the car moves forward faster. It happens in drive and neutral. It seems to be front of car. This is not AWD. It is 6cy. There is a rub or drag sound. The inconsistency or pulse is why it seems off-center. I assume it’s a rotation noise.

.

As there is no error code the dealership throws up their hands. I have the factory extended warranty.

.

These are the various things said by the dealership or replaced:

replaced engine idler pulley and bearing,

replaced transmission mounts,

replaced motor mounts.

I have put on new tires.

They verified brakes are good. The brake rotor is not warped.

.

I don’t speak-car sufficiently to isolate it. First no one else could hear it. Now my friends without acute hearing notice it. Over time it is becoming louder.

Does anybody have any great ideas what this might be?
