Chromecast 2015: Overheated and shut off. Reflowing optional?

My ChromeCast finally died after almost a year. Constantly overheating and resetting, but now no longer powers up. I believe it is a duel sided board and wanted to know if reflowing is an option for this device? If so which side should be on top when reflowing? Also, would adding a small 5V fan to the micro USB be an option to keep this from happening again?

My chromecast 2015 start to reboot when it became too hot (it's berely untouchable). When I put a fan direct to the chromecast the problem doesn't show and the chromecast itself was a lot more cooler. There is a definitive solution for this overheating problem?

Chromecast 2015: My chromecast keeps flashing

My chromecast keeps flashing and won't show on my TV through hdmi but mobile shows it can connect? It used to work just fine and now just stopped working. Nothing wrong with my TV.
