ChiliPad ChiliCube: Cleared Code 888/Cube turns on but no noise - not functioning

Hi! I had an 888 code. I followed the instructions and cleared the code. The unit turns on as far as the display board showing the temperature and I can adjust the temp up and down but the rest of the unit is not working (no fan noise, doesn't seem to be circulating water and the temp never adjusts automatically as if it is cooling or heating. I'm trying to determine if there are more steps to attempt or if I need to replace a part. I also don't know which part(s) I'd start with. FYI, the 888 code appeared after our friends at Centerpoint had a brief "lights out" flash and despite me having the unit plugged into a power surge device for just such occasions. Please note I am not at ALL mechanically inclined and while I enjoy learning new things, please keep in mind I'm a 63 year old woman without a lot of fixit experience, so please response as if you are speaking to a - 63 year old woman without a lot of fixit experience. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Autumn

ChiliPad ChiliCube: Cube’s fan won’t turn on, and cube continues to flash

Wondering if anyone can help me figure out why my chili cube is flashing between the temperature, the temperature I want it to get to, and the 888 flash/setup after a move. The fans won’t kick on. I have a queen “we” and one side I was able to eventually get working, but the other side keeps doing the above. Any ideas how to fix this?

ChiliPad ChiliCube: Replaced fans with Noctua. Why do the fans keep spinning up and down?

I followed the guide to replace the fans with better quality fans and went with a pair of 92mm Noctua NF-A9 fans. I opted to desolder the original fans, snip the connector off the Noctuas and solder the positive and ground onto the original fan cables. The procedure went smoothly but now that everything is reassembled the unit keeps oscillating the fan speed from low to high. It sounds like it's trying to kick the fans to a higher speed and then immediately goes back to the lower speed. What's weirder is that eventually it will lock into the higher speed for the fans but seems to react when I put my hand near the intake vent and go back to the lower speed. I've experimented with it enough times to be absolutely sure that it is reacting to my hand being put near the intake vent. It acts like there's a sensor there detecting my hand, but it's more likely that it's reacting to (very tiny) pressure or airflow differences. It's not like I'm obstructing the intake, just putting my hand maybe .5-1 inch away to feel for airflow. Maybe it's a power/voltage issue?

The stock fans show 12v 0.2A and the Noctua's spec sheet lists 12v 0.09 so they should be requiring less power, right? Now sure what to make of any of this.

ChiliPad ChiliCube: ChiliCube will not power on

My ChiliCube was working fine. I travel with it and after my last trip (it was packed in a suitcase in a car), the lights came on momentarily after plugging it in and then nothing. It will not power on at all. Fortunately, I have a backup unit, but it has a habit of shutting itself off in the middle of the night. There is no sleep without it, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I hate to have to buy another one.

ChiliPad ChiliCube: Who does repairs on Chili Cube?

Do you if there is someone that repairs these units. In my case, the cube is making a noise that could be a bearing that is starting to fail. I asked the company but they don’t do repairs on out of warranty units.
