I have replaced the battery, replaced the starter, the alternator checked out good. The car will only start when it is connected to a battery charger or jumper box. Once you turn it off it won’t start again. Could there be something draining the battery to keep it from turning over?

1997-2003 Chevrolet Malibu: Is the thermostat in my 2001 chevy malibu bad or just not strong?

I just drove 25 miles and my heater was still blowing cool air but my temperature gauge never went more than a hair above thee 100 mark it is at when I started it. car ran fine all the way without hesitations or over heating. if the thermostat is bad wouldn't the car overheat or is that only when the radiator is low? shouldn't the temperature have been a little higher than just barely above the start up mark even under normal driving conditions? is the thermostat just not strong enough for this below zero weather? Just bought this used car so don't know much about it but have had cars in the past that have overheated and broke down on the way to or from work a lot. only been driving it for a week. don't know about thermostats so wanted to know if a bad one only meant the inside of my car will not be warm or will the engine overheat like when the radiator is low or coolant level wrong and it is blowing cold air into the car for that reason.

Signed car idiot who would just like to learn how a few things work. reply to rcharboneau@live.com

1997-2003 Chevrolet Malibu: Why is my malibu idling hard while stopped at a red light?

two day ago i got gas. after getting gas my car starting to run hard when in drive and stopped. I put heat and injector cleaner in gas thinking it was water or trash causing the problem. my engine light came on and scanned it only error was a bad spark plug on 6. it seems to run smoother when in park but when in drive it idles hard. and has a ticking sound from motor. is this all from bad spark plugs, is transmission bad, is it a fuel pump, or a bad motor due to the ticking sound? I plan on changing the spark plugs and wires first but dont want to tear up my car driving it till i find out whats wrong. let me know what you think is wrong.

Chevrolet Malibu: How To Replace MAP Sensor?

I'm a pretty handy person. I've been getting the "SVC ESC" error message and the check engine light on my 2012 Chevy Malibu LT 2.4L, along with rough engine idle. After doing my homework I need to replace the MAP sensor. I figure easy enough, problem is I have a vague idea where it's located. I've scoured the net trying to find something solid whether a youtube video or forum with some sort of way to pin point or show me the location and a possible how to access the place if not easily obtainable.
