Chevrolet Cavalier: 2001 Chevy Cavalier water temp creeps up a little higher than expected

I recently purchased a 2001 Cavalier base with 48k miles & has a 2.2L OHV engine. This was my first Cavalier and I'm pleasantly surprised with it. One thing that I've noticed about this engine is the water temp creeps up a little higher than I'd like. Looking on my scanner, the water temp will run about 206 degrees f. The following is what I've done so far...⏎
- Replaced the OEM 180 deg thermostat. I compared the new thermostat to the original (in a pan of water on the stove with an accurate thermometer) and while both operated in approx. the same temperature range, the new one seemed to open further.⏎
- I went into the PCM program and set the cooling fan to switch on @ 198 deg f & off at 194 deg f.⏎

Its still doing about the same after trying the above. Yesterday, I noticed something interesting. It 'appears' the replacement water pumps may have a more efficient water pump impeller design. I borrowed the attached image from a You Tube video by Raw Customz where the gentleman is pointing out the difference that he noticed between the OEM & replacement WP impeller. The thought being that perhaps GM improved the impeller design to help the water flow at lower RPMs (which seems to be where the temperature is more prone to creep higher).⏎

My question is does any of the Cavalier gurus have any thoughts to offer? Either with the new water pump impeller designs or does anyone have any ideas or thoughts to offer.⏎

I just replace ignition module on my 03 cavalier now three months later code pop back up for 3 time I have car for two year it had when I bought it I replaced it it ran good for 1.5 years now it pop up I replaced about 3 or four months ago spark plug and whole ignition module and coil pack all at one

I just replaced the starter and alternator and my car still wont start, wont crank, wont turn over at all, when i turn my key absolutely nothings happens except the buzzing sound from my fuel pump nothing else

As title says, I cannot find a reliable source for a good Brake Proportioning valve to the passenger side rear. It has a small leak on the seal, and with no replacements available other than junk Chinese ones that the threads rip out of, I am at a loss.

2004 Cavilier Chevy, I believe 2.4 lit, 4 cylinder continues to turn over, but will not start up. Was running first day I bought it (last month) and started right up and ran a few times. Then the second day will not start up, but continues to turn over. Any ideas?

trying to find out were the horn located at on 2002 Chevy cavalier my horn all of the sudden without warning started sounding like a sick puppy couple of months back my husband was sick with COPD at that time and couldn't work on the car he recently passed away leaving me and our 14 year old child to try figure out how to fix it now the inspection sticker just has died and we have no ride until can fix horn to get inspection sticker and I'm need to know we're the horn located at on 2002 cavlier

I got a 2005 cavalier 2.2. The starter and battery have been replaced new. Not check engine lights. Car has been running great since the starter was changed. Since it got cold below 75 degrees Celsius the car no longer starts or cranks. I've checked the pcm for corrosion. I've checked all the fuses. Any thoughts?

1995-2005 Chevrolet Cavalier: It was a crank no start and turned into a no crank,start

So I have something obviously wrong with my wiring on my 2002 Chevy Cavalier LS 2.2 L and two-door automatic and was a crank no start and I wasn't getting the voltage I needed to the fuel pump I thought I had a bad ECU I replaced that nothing changed with the fuel pump I was still getting 9 volts to the fuel pump so I tried jumping the fuel pump and I accidentally reversed polarity and now that the wires quick rip them out but ever since then I can't crank the car even with even with brand new relays and if I jump in 87 and 30 in the crank relay it starts I replaced all the fuses and relays and same as you I even took the ignition switch out and make sure it was in good shape all the wiring back to that area the pink wire that runs back to the dash from the wiring harness under the hood and the fuse box is all good and I cannot find either a short to ground or I don't know cuz I'm not good with electronics I noticed that my 10 amp crank fuse under the hood was out but it was not broken or blown it just wasn't showing any voltage the same thing for like the two top rows of fuses inside the vehicle when you open the door and open the panel this uses aren't showing voltage either so I have to figure out on that rail what's going on and I was wondering if anybody could assist me with that in advance thank you for any responses it's been rough.....Jesse

1995-2005 Chevrolet Cavalier: Why can't I shift 2003 Cav manual transmission into any gear?

2003 Cavalier with manual transmission lost ability to shift while shifting from 1st to 2nd. The shifter feels loose now and I am unable to shift into any gear. I am able to move the shifter into the correct positions, but feels loose- like something (shifter linkage?) has become disconnected or broken, and does not move manual transmission into any gear at all. What do you think? Where can I find a free diagram to isolate suspected components?
