Canon PowerShot SX710 HS: My SX730HS won't turn on.

Hello. I have a *functionally brand new* SX730 HS. NOT the SX710. I fix it does not list the 730 HS for some reason.

Anyway, I received this camera as a gift in January 2019. I used it once, then went to school and it sat in storage. Today I tried to get it out and use it, and it is completely unresponsive. I charged the battery, and it was still unresponsive; bought a new battery and charger; same thing .

The only response I can get is when I plug it into a computer for usb charging. The Red/Green led & screen blink on for a fraction of a second, then it goes back to being unresponsive. Any idea what is going wrong?

Canon PowerShot SX710 HS: Why do I get an error message, "Unidentified Image?"

When I try to view the photos, I get the error message, Unidentified image. I have tried replacing the memory card, but that does not help. The manual says it is because of a problem transferring the photo to a computer, but I have not tried to transfer the images to my computer. When this happened, I had some images on the memory card, but then it just stopped recording them.
