Because the flash light is not working I want to replace it but I don't know if it is possible. I can't find anything about replacing the flash light and I don't wanna open the camera without knowing it. I can't find a replacement item either.

If anybody knows anything about this, please let me know, thanks a lot.

Canon PowerShot S110: I read that a microswitch may be missing

I have a S110 that doesn't power on, battery is good. I've read elsewhere that there should be white micro-switch under the battery cover that may be missing. Is this a DIY repair, urban legend?

Thanks,

Canon PowerShot S110: The very thin shutters won't stay closed together and are loose.

The camera lens has two very fine shutters over it that come together to close and open automatically when the camera is turned on. My shutters can be pushed together with my finger, but will not stay closed (they are floppy and move about instead of firm and stable). Therefore the camera won’t operate. I imagine somehow the cover needs to come off to see if there is a broken tiny hinge?

Canon PowerShot S110: How can I replace the battery door?

My battery door is broken, is still working, closing the battery place, but there is a hole in that for sure will permit the dust to enter to the camera. I already ordered a new part, but need to know how to proceed with the replacement and how difficult is.

Thanks in advance.

Canon PowerShot S110: My battery life is terrible!

I love this camera (Canon powershot s110) very very much however I've found that I continue to buy more and more batteries and when I'm using it for a day, they don't last long at all and I get to my fourth or fifth battery within a very short period of time. If I fully charge it and then was to be using it on and off for 15 minutes, it would go soo fast. Is there any fix for this because I use it for holidays and need it to last a plane and car journey before I get to a hotel etc or a day at a theme park etc. Even with multiple batteries it never lasts.
